The front desk staff were very rude – no eye contact, expressionless faces, and unhelpful attitude. There is no room service available in the morning. I requested a water bottle to be sent to my room at 8:30 AM, but was told that room service only starts after 11 AM and that I should go buy water myself from the convenience store.

Booked for company colleagues for their business trip. As per their comment, hotel is at a good location, easy to reach the destinations.

Toilet room water stucked. Engineering Dept came to resolved, BUT only temporary solve. Perhap hotel mmangement need to service all toilet water outlet seem bldg getting " old "

Check in took almost 1 hour! I could not figure out why? Other than that, everything was fine! I booked two times, both of them check in took more than at least 30 minutes

The location is excellent, right in the city center, with a large shopping mall downstairs, making it very convenient for getting around. The staff are very friendly. The rooftop garden and open-air bar offer expansive views. Breakfast is extensive, and the dining environment is great. The sunset view from the room is absolutely stunning. Totally enjoyed my stay at this property a while back. The room was tastefully done up with very subtle influence of Myanmar. The bed was really comfortable and ensures a good night's sleep. It's a really great hotel. We had a lake view room, and it was fantastic. The staff are really friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Alainmar in the restaurant - great coffees. The hotel is well presented and clean. The gym is pretty good. The breakfast is top notch. The only issue I had, and it's quite important for me, was the wifi was not very good.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed! A+++ Old world charm in Yangon and being over 125 years, it was like staying in history. Highly recommend this place. From the rooms and especially the staff are beyond reproach. The food was also excellent with one of the best breakfasts in Asia.

The Strand is a find, old hotel which, for the most part, has been tastefully refurbished. Some shortcomings: the staff appear very young, inexperienced and with poor English, resulting in the wrong response to requests - half an hour to get cornflakes for breakfast; the lighting in the suite was poor, with several lamps but few overhead lights, making it impossible to read in bed; the bathroom shower...

At a very first glance, with the ongoing political unrest in Myanmar, the effort to reopen the hotel and rehire all the staff deserve a great compliment. Wonderful hotel with amazing staff, the service is really great and an amazing sky bar

First time staying here for a business trip, and my overall impression is: the facilities are quite new, the environment is good, breakfast is plentiful, and it offers great value for money. Plus, there's no traffic congestion, making it convenient for getting around and to the airport.

The room didn't have any tissues or a comb. The exhaust fan in the shower was terrible, making the air circulation poor. There were also no beer glasses.

Clean and decent hotel for my business trip. Will be back to this hotel again.
