Taw Win Garden Hotel

Yangon, 45, Pyay Road, Dagon Township (45 min from centre) 🧭

Very nice hotel with Myanmar Culture Theme, large rooms with bathtub built in good quality room services and very friendly staffs. Breakfast was excellent and various dishes to choose from. Free mini bar item daily which you will not get in any hotel ever.

Nice hotel but dark rooms and the access to the room is a long way from the elevator. We were a group of 4 rooms and none had AC setting working: it was either AC on our off but no way to regulate. Breakfast was nicely displayed but not much Western food. Very friendly staff!

Location is good. Next to shopping mall and supermarket where you can buy something. Room is clean. Nice and helpful staff. Room on the road side may be annoyed by the noise from the cars, especiallyat night. But for room with garden view is ridiculous because of artificial trees. Breakfast is variety.

I love this hotel. Room is huge with nice quiet indoor balcony. Many traditional Burmese artefacts can be seen in the lobby. Centrally located with malls and supermarkets within 3 mins walk.

Good location, nice rooms and staff is very accommodating

Clean , well maintained and new. Staff obliging and helpful. Location very centralised and convenient with a mall across the road.

Sule Shangri-La, Yangon

Yangon, #223 Sule Pagoda Road (45 min from centre) 🧭

I struggle call this 5* - more like a 3*. The people are very polite and helpful but it is a very dated hotel, well below the standard for Yangon 5* these days and with a Rosewood opening soon and a Peninsular opposite it cannot compete.

Overall, we enjoyed the service of the staff the most. Our room had lovely views of the city and the Horizon Club did not disappoint. Excellent service quality. Our only concern is that the hotel could use a freshen-up. We stopped in for drinks or dinner at The Strand and Rosewood and their feeling is of luxury is classic, yet contemporary.

Room was spacious and clean. Staying in the club horizon rooms with the club access made the stay much more enjoyable. Staff and professional and genuinely care about the customer. Nothing is to much trouble. Special mention to Goal Lay for exceptional service and helping one of our family members when they were unwell. Definitely the place to stay when visiting Myanmar.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The service was fantastic. They did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable and did not need anything. The breakfast in the morning was incredibly varied having stations for Japanese, Indian, Western, and more. The rooms themselves were really well taken care of and very comfortable. I will be staying again if I am ever in Yangon.

I was impressed when I received an email before my arrival to assure me that the extra bed is taken cared and ready when I arrived but was a little disappointed when i walk into the room and it was not ready. Informed the front desk a few times before the bed is put in place and additional set of cups, toiletries were set up. However, that said, overall it was a wonderful experience. The staff was...

We have had a very pleasant experience in general. Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms, clean and quiet. Excellent location. Pleasant lounge area. However, we have major complaints about the bathroom: very difficult to get in and out of the high-rim bath tub (walk-in shower stall preferred), toilet is inefficient, water drains from sink with undesirable noise.

Melia Yangon

Yangon, 192, Kaba Aye Pagoda Road (2 km from centre) 🧭

Everything was excellent, especially the staff. They were very friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. However, I did experience some disappointment regarding the Level Club upgrade. During check-in, the front desk staff strongly encouraged me to upgrade to a Level Club room for an additional USD 40 per day. I was informed that the Level Club was open until 11:00 PM. However, when I...

Great location with high standard facilities

The rooms were very clean and the staff were very welcoming.

the room and everything was great! the staff were really nice and helped with everything needed

Meliá has a very good location, just opposite Inya Lake. While the interior design is simple and not very modern, the facilities and service are great. It would be nice if a sauna and jacuzzi were available and provide briefing while check in. The breakfast is amazing. I was surprised to see both a café counter and an ice cream counter during the breakfast session. However, they did not offer any...

Room was cleaned and excellent Team member , Ass HK Manager Wai Hin was warm welcome . Room cleaning is tip top by May Thet on 2nd day . Request was delivered on time . Overall service was satisfied.

PARKROYAL Yangon

Yangon, 33 Alan Pya Phaya Road (2 km from centre) 🧭

Really nice & safe place to stay in Yangon. Well maintained. Prefect staff. Great breakfast.

Conveniently located and nice old hotel. Incredibly good breakfast for the price. Clerks are polite and kind. But at least they should give 2 tea bags per room, only one green tea bag is not enough.

An Outstanding Stay at Park Royal – Comfort, Cuisine & Class Just wow! Park Royal is perfectly located for travelers, right in the heart of downtown yet wonderfully peaceful throughout the day. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless—the check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and polite. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained,...

Great stay! From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the location was perfect—walkable or a short drive to the main attractions. I would definitely stay here again when I’m back in Yangon.

nice public amenities in the hotel like the sauna and steam bath located at the swiming pool and gym. the hotel is near to local pub and restaurant aswell.

It was a great value for money to stay in such a 5 STAR hotel with good service and a great breakfast.

Summit Parkview

Yangon, 350 Ahlone Road (2 km from centre) 🧭

Pictures are generally describe the hotel conditions. It’s old but functional. The location is not too far from downtown. Tried their dinner sets and it’s quite decent.

The hotel is decent. The staff tried their best to help with everything, but it felt like I was the first person to ever ask about where to buy a SIM card, find a supermarket, or an exchange office. All my questions seemed new and strange to them. When I checked in, I saw a bug in the room, thought it was a cockroach, so I called the reception. They sent a whole 'consultation' of five people to deal...

I commend all staff for your excellent service and attention to detail. You maintain the high standards of Myanmar hospitality, and I thank you all. In particular, I really loved the view of Shwedagon Pagoda from my room. You have an excellent location as well, and the breakfast is hearty and satisfying. I would like to especially thank the following staff: Thinn Zar and Harry — thank you for attending...

It’s a very traditional hotel. Got everything. The staffs are very friendly and the room is very clean. The location is quite near to Shwedagon pagoda and a few restaurant nearby. Stay was very pleasant.

Great hotel, very friendly staff and a nice view on the Shewadagon pagoda

Would stay again. Great location, close to area famous landmark by walking distance. Room need sound proof due to noise from street and near by park especially on morning. Also room key needed to be updated. Like old style bulk key chain back in the 80's . Great breakfast buffet and enjoy it. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Overall, very pleased with stay.

Jasmine Palace Hotel

Yangon, 341, Pyay Road, Sanchaung Township (2 km from centre) 🧭

I recently stayed at Jasmine Palace and had a fairly mixed experience overall. The highlight of my stay was definitely the customer service — the staff were welcoming, polite, and always willing to help with any requests. They really made me feel comfortable and valued as a guest. However, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The cleanliness was acceptable, but not outstanding. While...

Really nice hotel with comfortable beds, good hot showers, clean rooms, and a decent buffet breakfast. The staff were also amazing helping us with multiple requests for different things. Highly recommended!

I hope the service come back onto 2022 before.I wanna say the housekeeping need to upgrade their service to the 2022 best service again. And don't forget to ask the customer (anything else? )when u guy housekeeping after cleaning the room. I would really love to stay at this hotel , and that is why I say this 😘

Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff and great location. My husband and I stayed here last month for 1 night and we wished we could’ve stayed longer. The checkin and checkout process were seamless. Each staff member was very professional and welcoming. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I LOVED the shower and all of the amenities in the room. We had a really wonderful view as well. We didn’t have...

This hotel I recommend highely! The food and hygiene is very good and every holiday they make more progress than even before. The animation is lovely, every day they have a programme and keep all ages entertained. The manager and boys and girls of the animation are always speaking with all the guests by the pool. We come here several times, one of the reasons we come back is the lovely staff!

The best holiday ever, I was truely spoilt by the staff. This is my favourite hotel in Egypt (been about 10 times). Close to airport (8mins) massive beautiful grounds, gorgeous beach and yetty. The food is plentiful with 2 cooking stations, salad bar, great coffee- nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We had a great time with Carly in animation and also got escorted on nights out (golden Buddha...

Mercure Yangon Kaba Aye

Yangon, 17 Kaba Aye Pagoda Road Yankin (60 min from centre) 🧭

This is one of my few stays here in Mercure this year on my monthly business trip. Love the comfortable room especially the bed really spoilt me. The breakfast was good! location wise is convenience for me even for nearby food outlet on walking distance to one of my favourite resto 'Tokyo'. Water is self refill-able from nearest water dispenser on every level. Will definitely come again.

Friendly & helpful staff, claim & relax, great swimming pool & gym, delicious meals.

The hotel is well situated, nice place, and your staffs are extremely helpful and I will give 100% recommendations for their customer service. Well done team Mercure Yangon.

Very comfortable hotel. Staff attentive and polite. Great gym. Nice bar area to relax.

Not the best wifi but great facilities ibwill come there for sure

The hotel environment is nice. The room was clean and tidy, and the service was very welcoming. However, the room layout is quite different from the Mercure hotels in China, and the toiletries are not really worth looking forward to 😊

Inya Lake Hotel

Yangon, 37 Kaba Aye Pagoda Road (60 min from centre) 🧭

It's a great place. I really really enjoyed the stay.

Need a renovation as the hotel is too old.

Reception staffs are very friendly and helpful. The property is old and worn out. Hot water in bathroom is brown colour which is similar to the water colour in nearby Inya lake.

A safe place feels like home overall

One of the best location in Yangon.

Good old hotel with antique atmosphere and courteous service, I liked the room but got dissaponted that the bedsheets and towels are too old and not clean, and it has some more caveats. The hotel is situated inward corner from the main street and need to call taxi every time just to get out, which is annoying if you want to go around the nearby area. Inside the hotel building there's one convenient...

Rose Garden Hotel

Yangon, 171, Upper Pansodan (2 km from centre) 🧭

Excellent hotel. Huge interiors and beautiful decorations. Staff was not only good at service, they were very warm, caring and really took care of us. We did not know the local language. Gloria at the front desk was super helpful. Breakfast spread was big and tasty. Restaurant staff was very caring. One tall gentleman (sorry missed asking his name) took great care of us during all meals. Few minor...

I am a student from an English center who experienced taking an exam at Rose Garden hotel. From a distance glance, I was impressed by how marvelous it looked. In the center of a big garden stood a majestic palace. The presence of the building itself was already overwhelming as if I don't belong there. But as I entered the entrance, the red carpet waiting for me by the door made me feel like a royalty...

overall, 3 stars, room is kind of small and no welcome juices. we experienced no service and this hotel felt like an exam center for cambridge exams.

The hotel is quite nice and very quiet. The corridor is long enough for the people to walk in which is quite relaxing. The decoration of the hotel is very minimalist and overall it looks good. They should have renovated and repainted back the front of the hotel where there were yellow and rust-color blotches. The food , ngl, is so good at this hotel. I'm very satisfied by the meals I've taken on this...

The room is of moderate size but very dark. There is no light. The window cannot be closed tightly. There is a portable air conditioner but the window cannot be closed. Fortunately, there are no mosquito bites. The hotel staff is enthusiastic. When checking in, someone will hand over drinks. Breakfast is selected one day in advance. It is not a buffet, but the taste is good and rich. After eating,...

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you.

I loved the pool area and i used the gym every day. Last but not least the staff in this hotel was AWSOME, so good service and so helpfull..i thank you all so much for my stay here...🫶 Oh i...

doing a Sound System for a Birthday party there in Royal Ball room . the food serve at the party is just so so to average restaurant . They need a cargo way to their ball room because there are heavy duty Equipment like a speaker or a big stage setting need to access quit and easy.

Buffet breakfast is really good. Budget buffet. So, I didn't expect much but it contains all basic breakfast menu items. The eggs station and the salad station also included. I really like the omelette made by chef. 👍

Review of My Stay I travel quite a lot, and I have to say it’s been a long time since I’ve encountered such pleasant people. They make you feel at home, always with a smile and ready to help. The staff is outstanding. The Location: The cleanliness is exquisite, the rooms are bright, new, and have a modern style with great design. Hotel Parami

Yangon, No.2, Parami Road (5 km from centre) 🧭

Everything was very nicely arranged. Except for the pool when i came to the level where the pool should be. There was smoke everywhere around the pool and it was not a safe experience. In my observation it looked like an electroc cable was melting and causing the smoke

The hotel is clean, the food is delicious, it's safe, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It's also conveniently located.

The hotel is located between the airport and Myanmar Plaza, a good location that is convenient for getting to the neighborhood. The room facilities are a bit old, but the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Overall, it's quite worth recommending.

Since it is Myanmar, there are frequent power outages. VISA, AMEX, JCB and other cards could not be used.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Paramus, but I did not have time to try the spa. The restaurant on the 9th floor was good as well as the breakfast. The only thing that was an issue was the internet. I could not access Facebook or Instagram.

It’s my favorite hotel in Yangon, without the noise and traffic from families that other hotels have.

Best Western Chinatown Hotel

Yangon, No 127-137 Anawrahta road (45 min from centre) 🧭

Really nice view while walking into the room being greeted by the shwedagon pagoda, one thing I really like is that they have a sports channel for people who like watching f1; including me. One thing that I despise is the croissant, it tastes a bit bitter not sure why.. but overall this is a really good place to stay if you want a nice view

If you're looking for a place with nice room and nice breakfast near downtown, here is the best place with fair price. I like the breakfast here and restaurant's menu are fair price with good taste and enough portion. This will be my always choice if I want to take rest in downtown. And 3 minutes walk to 19th street which people well know bar street in Yangon.

I recently stayed from May 22nd to 25th, and had a great experience! The room and food were of good quality. The staff and management were friendly and welcoming. #芳姐

Location, OK. Staff, OK. Cleaniness not good. Amenity not good.

Small place. Not clean and light was not take caảefully. I found a big mouse on my floor. Spa is not working and no one stay there.

Overall is OK. The room is a bit small but enough for 2 people. Breakfast is average. Have a problem with electricity that always shut down. Staffs are friendly and try to help me anything.

Hotel Grand United Ahlone Branch

Yangon, No. 35, Min Ye KyawSwar Road (45 min from centre) 🧭

The hotel amenities and cleanliness can be improved with more new furniture amd carpet. The service of the staff is good. The hotel is near to junction city.

Before to visit Myanmar I read many reviews and they told that staff at reception can help to book tickets for bus. In this hotel only one girl spoke English when I was checking in but when I come and ask to help me with bus ticket booking nobody could help. The people who were on reception had very poor English. I spent half of the day to buy ticket. And location is a bit far from center. I recommend...

The staff were very accommodating, from the receptionists to housekeeping💙 I stayed here for only one day as I extended my trip by a day. Don’t expect too much from the amenities, as the hotel is half the price of others with similar facilities—which is why it’s a good option😊 The breakfast buffet had limited options but was still decent —- They have a section where you can ask a staff member to...

Comfy room and big bathroom (the shower is amazing!). The WiFi is very unstable. There a lot of options for the breakfast, but the western section isn’t so good (at least they have bread and eggs). The YaYa’s menu is delicious, and the room service is fast. All the staff is very helpful.

A nice hotel, with friendly front desk staff. This hotel has an excellent gym, the breakfast is nice. Its close to St John's Mall. Recommended

Good service, clean room, reasonable price, grocery store and embassy nearby.

Governor's Residence

Yangon, 35 Taw Win Road (45 min from centre) 🧭

Had an amazing time at Governor’s residence with my son Charlie and family. Beautiful surroundings in a peaceful location in the heart of the diplomatic quarter. The staff were fantastic and the rooms extremely comfortable. Highly recommend, will definitely return when in Yangon.

I have just spent 3 nights at the Governor’s Residence hotel in Yangon. It has been spectacular, the old colonial style building with teak floors and beautiful gardens creates a miniature Raffles atmosphere. This is ‘gem’ of a hotel, tucked away in the diplomatic quarter of the city. It’s a must visit location. If you want a classic Burmese hotel, this is the place. Quality service, the staff are...

Had a lovely time here. We ordered coffee, pasta, mushroom pastry and lime soda. Everything tasted really good. The flavors are gentle but well-done, and portions are satisfying. Just a note: • If you go for à la carte, you’ll need to order by yourself from the menu. • But on weekdays during lunch and dinner, they also have set menus, so it’s more convenient and you don’t have to think too much about...

We have recently stayed at the Governor’s Residence for 6 nights and cannot recommend this historic hotel highly enough. It is a beautiful building, in such a peaceful setting and in an excellent location for site seeing. The rooms / grounds and facilities are very well kept. We enjoyed wonderful meals/breakfasts on the restaurant veranda every day. The service is among the best we have had & the staff...

Review of the Governor’s Residence, Yangon The Governor’s Residence in Yangon is a luxury hotel set in a beautifully restored 1920s teak mansion. Once the home of a colonial governor, it now offers guests a rare mix of history, elegance, and modern comfort. Located in the peaceful Embassy Quarter, it feels like a tranquil retreat away from the city’s noise. Rooms are spacious and decorated with teak...
