Jungle Wildlife Camp in Sauraha

Fantastic experience staying here for 3 nights. Amazing river views (including sunsets) from the room balconies, the restaurant, sitting out on a small dock, etc. The animals I saw here included rhinos, crocodiles, elephants (not wild), and many egrets and other birds. The manager provided sensible advice on scheduling tours and very reasonable pricing. The restaurant food was good and the restaurant host was awesome. The woman at the front desk was helpful with questions, but also very kind, always smiling, asking how my day went and what I saw. Even the shuttle driver was so friendly here. For those coming from the US, this lodge is not a luxury resort, but it offers basic Nepali lodging standards and is a great place to base your Chitwan activities from. Just noting that I went on the all day walking safari with return by boat, and while this was an amazing day, this tour is very physically challenging. If in doubt, book the half day tour.

Possibly the best hotel in Chitwan. Location is excellent on the river bank with the opportunity to spot wildlife from your balcony or the dining room. The staff are all helpful and smiling. The excursions booked were great. We have read reviews that say book excursions elsewhere but it was not our experience that this was a better option. This hotel did it well. Super efficient, reliable and trouble free. Large rooms with balconies. Plenty of hot water. Good wi fi. Onward transport arranged easily. Great Coffee in the restaurant. Value for money. All good. The food is not gourmet but it's adequate and good value. Perhaps give the elephant breeding centre a miss. Highly recommended hotel .

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location perfect. The room was clean.
We dud not have any hot watet or wifi throughout our stay which was a shame.

Our recent stay at Jungle Wildlife Camp was beautiful! The restaurant manager Shiteram made sure our stay was perfect! He was so kind and considerate helping us move rooms as in our original the facilities were not working, he always greeted us when we saw him and helped us spot wildlife in the river.

From the hotel we were able to spot rhinos, crocodiles, elephants bathing, and many birds. We had breakfast at the restaurant every morning and it was lovely.

Definitely recommend. Would return.
The best things about this resort are the location and the staff. Sabrina on reception is always smiling and cheerful. She has "magic fingers" which repairs things. Sitaram Streatham is an outstanding waiter in the restaurant. He is very attentive but also very knowledgeable about local wildlife. Lovely gentle mannered man. Our room was very comfortable. The bathroom is a wet room so i struggle with wet floors but i bought a floor squeegy in town for just over £1 and that helped a lot. The food in the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. Beer prices are good too.

Highly recommended to stay in here if you go to chitwan. I had a lovely stay in here for 2 nights. The hotel located in river side, i can see a lot of bird from hotel restaurant, hotel staffs are very nice as well. They also provide a safari tour with a reasonable price.

The location is very convenient. The hotel can book tickets and projects for the national park. The service is warm and thoughtful.

Fantastic 3 days here beginning November 17 . Wonderful and helpful and friendly staff. Super river terrace and sunsets. They organised jeep safari, bush walk. Nice room but again the staff. Thanks so much.
