Reviews
If you’re planning a night stay, you can also do a short hike to Champadevi Hill, which takes about 1–1.5 hours uphill from the resort. It makes the stay even more refreshing.
Unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined. The room clearly needs renovation, and the overall maintenance did not feel up to standard. There was an issue with the bathroom door being locked, and the lock itself was not working properly, which caused unnecessary inconvenience.
The staff were inattentive and, at times, came across as rude, which was unexpected based on my earlier visits. Service used to be one of the strengths of this place, but that was not the case this time.
Food quality was also inconsistent. Dinner on the first night was stale and below expectations, while breakfast the next morning was fine, showing that consistency is lacking.
I genuinely hope the management team takes this feedback seriously. This resort had a good reputation before, and with proper renovation, better staff training, and improved food quality control, it could return to the standard it once maintained.
We ordered haaka noodles and biryani. The biryani tasted like an oily tasteless fried rice.
The resort is located at around 1,600 meters, offering stunning views of Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan range, surrounded by greenery. Unfortunately, this is where the positives mostly end.
Major issues we faced:
Room hygiene was poor. The rooms were not properly cleaned, and the carpets were full of dust, which is unacceptable—especially for families.
The weather was extremely cold, yet there was no campfire or any warming facility, which should be a basic amenity at this altitude.
The biggest disappointment was the dinner. Despite being in Nepal, there was no proper Nepali-style meal, the food lacked taste, and there were very limited options, making it unpleasant for a family dinner.
Even though the resort charges a high price, some rooms do not have TV sets.
There was no locker or safe in the room, which is a serious safety concern when staying with family.
Overall, the resort appears highly promoted on social media, but the actual experience does not match the hype. It feels like strong marketing with weak service delivery. With better cleanliness, food quality, basic amenities, and safety measures, this place could improve significantly.
