Highly recommend this hotel if you’re a first time visitor looking for somewhere nearby Durbar Square but still quiet and less crowded.
I was very fortunate to go on a tour hosted by the owner’s son, and we went to nearby spots, temples, shrines and even his familial ground. It was a fantastic way to immerse into Patan culture and understand its rich history, culture, architecture and coexistence of its religions.
Thank you so much for your generosity and time with the tour. And also to the hotel manager lady who was also warm and friendly and wouldn’t hesitate if you needed any assistance.
The hotel is run by very kind people and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting.

Really enjoyed my stay in Heranya Yala. The room was neat, the service was quick, and the staff were very welcoming. Perfect place for a relaxing stay.

Over all the expirence was kinda great. The rooms were neat and clean and well managed, Hot shower was 24 hour seven. Price was kinda appreciate able but somehow finding the location was not a good experience

The room was clean and neat. The first hotel where we don't have to pay for water to drink. They provide us with a jar in every room. A hot shower didn't match what they provided. The bathroom becomes a pool after you take a shower cause of blockage in the basin hole. Thank you.

Everything was perfect. The hotel is wonderful, combines the classical style with confort. Very clean and the location is great. Very calm and pretty. The best part was to share with the owner a walk through Patan, were we discover amazing places, learn about the local culture and the life of the people. It was the best experience in Nepal. I would really like to come back.

I went to Heranya Yala on 21st March since it was in patan, me and my fiance was planning to visit patan Durbansquare. We booked the place coz it was next to patan durbansquare however after reaching Heranya Yala it was nothing but disappointment. Room that was provided to us had no television, water was basically tap water coz i can see it wasn’t sealed too, air-con wasn’t working had to call their team for help ..their kettle was dusty and also basket of coffee/tea … worst part was that reception was unattended and could hear phone ringing till in our room & could hear the footstep of people walking up & down .. at that point we were abit annoyed already so decided to check out and then when we went to reception desk to checkout there was no one … i had to call the guy (their team) to inf that we are leaving since we make the payment when we check in . …i really hope you guys will improve infuture & take it as constructive criticism

If you want to get a deeper look at the heritage then this is the place. It might look uncomfortable at the beginning but trust me you will love it. Thank me later.

The service was great, and the breakfast was even better. The owner of the hotel took us on a private tour of most of the city which was the best part of my stay. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get a true feel for the city, 10/10!!

I haven't personally stayed in the hotel, but had booked for several occassion for my guests. The guest house is well cleaned, cozy rooms, nice ambience and overall quiet rooms, there are no noisy neighbours nor the surrounding has disturbances. My guests were quite happy to stay here and been repetitive for several times. The owner and his staff are friendly and never hesitate to help. Their food in the restaurant is good, specially the breakfast, i was told was outstanding.
