Witte Berken Natuurhotel in Epe

We spent three nights in this lovely hotel and truly enjoyed our stay. I was amazed by the interior design, the entire hotel radiates a caring heart through every little detail. I could sense how much the owner and the entire staff are in sync with nature without compromising on comfort, design or cleanliness. Our Deluxe room was spacious and cozy.

THE FOOD: all capital letters, yes. AMAZING. I repeat, A.M.A.Z.I.N.G., we wanted to dine out, but after tasting the menu on the first day, we decided to eat through the wild menu on the following day. I cannot praise the chef enough to create such a harmonised menu and beautiful food. An impeccable selection of perfectly paired wines, also! I'm a huge fan of wild meat, so I truly felt in heaven when tasting the wild boar, deer, rabbit and pheasant, so rightly portioned. I wanted to hug the chef at the end, but restricted myself to appear civilised. Breakfast was also plentiful and offered a wide variety of options to suit everyone’s tastes.

Location: within five minutes walk, you're in the woods. Easy to hike and a huge sauna- en wellnessresort in Emst, Veluwse Bron is only 10 mins drive away.

Service: a big shoutout to everyone, but specifically to all the waiters, who were serving everyone so tirelessly and still remained kind. We were taken care of in a timely and rather respectful manner. Everyone was polite, friendly and helpful.

Summary: I cannot recommend this hotel enough if you love nature, good food and comfort. It offers a great value for the price, a perfect getaway from city life. You can truly rest here and enjoy tranquility.

Wonderful experience in the middle of the forest. Great garden and superb breakfast. Comfy beds. Games for kids and kind staff.

Was made to feel very welcome on arrival by very friendly staff and it was a great first impression. I had an evening meal that was very good. My room was spacious, clean and nicely appointed. I would highly recommend this great hotel. I hope to stay here the next time I visit the area.

The staff was super nice and spoke English. They were extremely helpful with everything I needed help with. The room was cozy and the nature surrounding was pretty. The atmosphere was friendly and I enjoyed it a lot. The included breakfast was definitely satisfying as well I'm very happy with my stay overall! Obviously it's not very central but that's the point of this hotel. The only improvements are: The shower leaked water into the floor slighty and the doors didn't keep much sound in or out of the room from the hallway. In general I am very happy with my stay and I recommend it 100%

An excellent hotel that is worth its 4*. Located in the wooded area with heathland near Epe. Wonderfully quiet with always lots of birds around the hotel. Nice spacious rooms with all amenities, but in my opinion a shaving mirror could be added. The food is carefully prepared and is a good reason to book this hotel, a generous breakfast with delicious specialties from the area. Also nothing but praise for the staff and owners, very friendly and helpful and where possible a bit of humor. They will definitely see me there again.

We stayed here for the first time and had booked a four-day package including breakfast and dinner. As far as we are concerned, the hotel is a big 10 in all facets. We will definitely go here more often. What is also very nice is that you can take wonderful walks through the beautiful nature from the hotel.

A perfect hotel for a few days away. You immediately feel welcome and everything has been thought of; coffee and tea in the room, a lovely bed, lavender spray for your pillow, a cozy sitting area at the bar downstairs, a delicious breakfast with all the trimmings and delicious food that also looks beautiful. We enjoyed!

The photos don't do the place justice. A nice oasis with a bit of an adventurous road there. We combined it with a sauna visit which was is highly recommended. The restaurant offers a surprising menu of various wild meat and does a great job at presenting it. And the breakfast.... Wow. I've had a lot of bread in my 36 years but this was probably the best I've ever had. As a Breakfast lover, this was top notch. Great experience would highly recommend staying if you're around

We had a very peaceful yet elegant stay at the Witte Berken. Our room was kept cleaned for our three night stay. We had extravagant breakfast buffet every morning with many sorts of bread, coffees, teas also eggs and different sorts of meats. The breakfast also included Gluten-free options. The gardens are lovely with comfortable sitting. The staff was kind and thoughtful to help with any questions. We will definitely stay there again when in the Netherlands.
