I made a reservation for 2 rooms with my family and 2 children. We arrived at the hotel around 2:00 PM, but we were told that we could not check in. I asked them to complete the check-in process even if we didn’t enter the room yet, but they refused, so we left our luggage and went out.
When we came back to the hotel at 9:00 PM, we were told that there were no available rooms left in the building with an elevator, and that we would have to climb three floors without an elevator with our 2 children and luggage. When I asked for a room in the building with an elevator, they said it was not possible and explained that if we had checked in earlier during the day, it would have been available, but since we came late, there was nothing they could do.
The stairs we had to climb were very steep, and I had to carry the children and the luggage one by one in my arms.
I even searched for another hotel through your website, but I couldn’t find any. If I had, I would have left immediately.

very bad receptionist
The hotel has a nice location, a comfortable, and clean room. I'm very uncomfortable with the reception staff. They have very poor communication. On the evening of August 12th, the receptionist told me the parking lot was full and that advance reservations were required. I can respect that. However, when I asked how you could help me, he said, "I don't know, it's not my problem," and in a very rude tone. He could have shown me the parking lot just across the street. Then he went outside, sat down, and started enjoying herself in a customer-like manner. There's clearly a communication problem. Such staff shouldn't be working in this beautiful hotel. The Dutch are very friendly people. I will come again. I love this country. Thank you.

Not sure how it was rated 4 stars? This 4-star hotel not only has no toiletries, but also no slippers for taking a shower. What's even more annoying is that there is no bath towel in the bathroom. Yet it still has 4 stars from Ctrip despite this situation. I really doubt Ctrip's rating standards?

Very satisfied, the hotel actually has instant noodles for breakfast, very pleasantly surprised~

Excellent location. Beautiful hotel and nice big rooms. Good service and friendly staff. Rooms have spacious bathrooms. We enjoyed it very much. Really recommended. We will definitely come back in the future. Ideal for a few days in Roermond. Everything is within walking distance, bars, restaurants and shops. Outlet is also within walking distance.

Grand Hotel Valies is a quaint and clean hotel in Roermond. Close to the vibrant Roermond shopping center. We always take our special “kid” in our travels and she seems to enjoy the room. Staff were courteous and friendly. Furnitures were new and the room was spotless. Although the bed was not as comfortable as I would like. Still a good hotel to stay when you are in town.
