Had dinner here last night and slept with friends on a bike. It's been a while since I've felt so welcome anywhere. What a warm welcome! The staff is so friendly, the food is excellent, and the wine list is fantastic. I slept well afterwards. A must-do! Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

Excellent service both at the hotel and in the restaurant. While we were staying at the hotel, we had two excellent dinners. And excellent isn't an adjective we use very often. It's simply an incredibly impressive place.

It’s a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting right on the River Maas. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Our Superior room was huge, and had views over the river, our son had a Comfort room, smaller but still a nice size and both had amazing large white marble shower rooms with walk in shower. No kettle to make tea, but luckily I had spotted that in another review and took one. Coffee machine. We ate in the Michelin star restaurant and had an excellent meal, flambed at the table. Good free parking with cctv.
It’s a 5 minute walk along the river to all the restaurants and shops of quaint and lively Venlo.

I left the hotel for the afternoon and when I came back I received the message that they had changed my room because they found that my room was better fit for another customer and therefore they had packed up all my stuff and moved it to another room. Rule #1 in the hotel business. Keep your hands off my stuff. You could've called me and asked if it was okay or waited till I got back. You don't just take my stuff and move it. Your bad planning or the new customers requirements is not my problem! Will I come back? Not a chance.

I would like to call it Valuas aan de Maas. What a beautiful place. To the left lies Venlo, and to the right you look across the Maas into the distance. Chef Eric Swaghoven and his crew create amazing dishes. The accompanying wines are top-notch. The service ensures a reasonably informal atmosphere. That makes the picture and the evening complete. The morning following the dinner, we were also served an 8-course breakfast by the chef himself. It was a bit much, but absolutely delicious!

Upmarket restaurant with very good food. You can either choose the restaurant or the brasserie. Both are good, but different price tag.
