The location is amazing, Haarlem is a beautiful city. Amsterdam and many surrounding beaches are fast and easily accessible. The breakfast was good, and the service as well. The only point that I would have to take is that our room was quite warm which made sleeping partially difficult. It however was summer so maybe to be expected, we also did get a fan from the front desk.

10 of us cycled from England via Ijmuiden DFDS. Haarlem Stayokay was around 6 miles away - ideal!
Lots of cycle routes.
Staff were very helpful, rooms were a good size. Bar area and garden nice.
Breakfast was continental self serve. Plenty of choice.
We had a heatwave when there.....only complaint was very hot bedrooms at night as no air-conditioning.
Would stay again and recommend.

I stayed at the stayokay for two nights for my vacation. I loved the friendly service, the lovingly prepared breakfast and the clean room. You can travel by bike, there is a bus stop next to the hostel and a parking lot (for free) if you come by car. The national park Zuid-Kennemerland is a nice trip for the day and not so far from the hostel.
I would definitely recommend to stay at the stayokay hostel and will revisit it on occasion.

Friendly and welcoming staff, tasty breakfasts, and a great location near the park and a bus stop, making it easy to get into the city. The hotel is very clean, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant. There’s also an on-site restaurant with good food and even some fun activities, which adds to the experience.

The rooms are simple, small, but neat and well-maintained, with everything functional - even private bathrooms in larger rooms. You can also rent towels if needed, which is convenient.

The only downside is that parking can be difficult in the evening, as spaces are limited. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Very clean and conveniently located right next to a bus stop! Staff were very friendly and the included free breakfast was delicious. The on-site restaurant had great food and fun games to play, overall a great experience.

4 cyclists on holiday from uk
Hostel is quite a way out of Haarlem and next to a busy road but on arrival we discovered we had been given a room at the back facing the park - much appreciated as 4 cyclists on a cycle/touring holiday.
Lovely friendly staff . Had some snacks from the bar and there was a lovely brazier to sit around in the garden .
Met some friendly Dutch and Americans.

Breakfast adequate for our needs .

Bed was fine. Sanitary excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner mediocre, little choice and because it is now autumn, no vegetables or salads. Location easy to reach by public transport. About 15 minutes walk to station Santvoort Zuid.

Nice for a 2 night stay, it had everything we needed and the included breakfast was nice. Our room had a broken window and the toilet room smelled odd. Other than that it was a great price for the property.
