Do not be fooled by the pictures. I booked a room of 4, and was allocated a room that was so small, that it was hard for 2 people to co-exist there, let alone 4. Half of the bedroom was too short for me to even stand up fully and I am average height.
Service was fine, but the hostel is far from the "cool" experience they're trying to sell.

Great hostel at Blaak. You’ll find everything there you need. Hostel located uniquely in the cube houses. Recommended.

Great hostel in a perfect central location near the train, staff were phenomenally polite and helpful and breakfast was a great plus.

We were a party of five in a six‑bed dorm— not recommended for families.
Room size
The space felt cramped, as if a four‑bed room had been forced to hold six beds. Walking around meant constantly bumping into the metal bunk‑bed frames, and the upper bunks are so low that you keep hitting your head.
Power sockets
Outlets face downward; with travel adapters attached, our power banks kept falling out and had to be taped or propped up.
Ventilation
There’s only one window and it can open only a small amount, so fresh air circulation is poor and the room feels stuffy.
Bathroom
You have to put on your own bedsheet.
Toilet takes a long time to refill before you can flush again.
Shower uses a push‑button tap—you have to keep pressing it for water.
The showerhead is fixed to the wall and can’t be handheld, which is inconvenient.
Breakfast
Good, with satisfying taste.

Really lovely hostel! Everything there is amazing. Obviously due to the location and the fact you are staying in the Cube houses, it is slightly pricier than other hostels in Rotterdam but definitely worth it! Our room's window shows to within the Cube's canopy so there is no natural light, but other than that there are no complaints! I would stay here again.

No locks in rooms, you have to pay otherwise. No refrigerator for guests. Very bad service and basic rooms and beds for the price. No wifi connection in the room which is bad especially with a bad signal. The cubes looks nice and the location great but you wouldn't stay in this location for the looks. Would be a bad choice for a claustrophobic, and the room noise is torturing.

Located in the iconic Cubes, an architectural highlight of Rotterdam. You can get private rooms (w private bath) or group rooms for cheaper. It’s located in the heart of Rotterdam, right across from the train station and the market. There is a lobby w a bar, pool table and terraces overlooking the city. They have rental bikes and access to every sort of touristy attraction. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are funky and weird and beds are surprisingly comfortable for bunkbeds. (The pillows are perfect imo) the place was full of travelers from all over the world, it’s a super fun place to stay!!

Nice hostel in a great location. I'm surprised that they haven't converted it In a more boutique like hostel.
Rooms are basic but clean, but the beds where a little bit old and the mattress cover was a little bit torn. Showers came with a soap dispenser, which is always nice.
Main problem for me was that the heating system was quite loud, so I decided to turn it off. I was lucky to travel when the weather was nice, but in winter or summer it would have probably be way to loud. Also I had a room close to the elevator which was also a little bit loud. I forgot to pack my earplugs, but with them it would have probably be okay.
Staff was polite.
Breakfast is included in the price. It was quite diverse for being an hostel, and it had also a lot of vegan option (even yogurt, which is not always easy to find). They did not have warm option, which I think is quite common in the Netherlands.
Overall I had a positive stay and I can say that I spent the night in a cubic house.

Hello. I have been in this accommodation for two nights. The accommodation is deceptive because it is located in the famous house of cubes. It is still a hostel where you have to pay for towels and soap, and also make the bed on duvets, pillows and mattresses that are like that. Really expensive for a hostel. The quadruple room is elongated, and it is very possible that if you are of average height, you will end up with a blow to the head. The air conditioning does not heat, you only have to look at the heating control and the light in half the room. It does not work. The breakfast, although very basic, is the best thing about the hotel. Anyway, if I had known, I would not have come.
