Amadeus is idéal for an overnight or budget short stay in Haarlem. The rooms are above the bar/restaurant - and mine, on the 3rd floor was quiet. Nice staff - and continental breakfast ok s included.

Very nice budget hotel located in the middle of the market square. Clean rooms. No AC. Fan provided. Small but clean bathroom. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great but no hot options. Would stay again.

A very basic, no frills room, but worked great for me. The shower sometimes made a weird burbling noise (I think when someone else in the building was taking a shower?), and when it was hot outside the room got very hot (a small fan would go a long ways, there was no breeze from the window even when it cooled off outside), and the construction noises from the floor below started early. Carpet was old and worn, with a bleached out spot on it, but was otherwise clean. Continental breakfast was good (fresh baked bread was a highlight!), and being able to use the lift during open restaurant hours to get my suitcase up and down was helpful, as it's basically three flights of stairs up to the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Haarlem is charming, and it's a short (less than 15 minutes) walk to the train station for a sprinter train into Amsterdam. There's also a nearby bus route that goes to the airport, which was very convenient. A nice, economical option for a single traveler.

The room didn't have Aircon and the weather was hot. lt's an old building that would benefit from refurbishment. There was no on site bike storage, but a public facility is a few hundred meters away.
On the plus side it is on an historic square and has a decent restaurant.

The location was great and the staff was friendly. What we didn't know was there was a carnival going on right in front of our hotel, and that took away the charm of the city. The reason I booked this hotel was for the location, but the carnival put a damper on our visit. The bathroom was a strange set up (you had to walk in the shower to get to the toilet). Regardless, it was a good hotel based on location.

Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. The room was spacious enough with an excellent shower included. Staff were very attentive and professional.

My friend and I each had a single room for 3 nights. The rooms need a total refurbishing. The elevator, hall, rooms and bathroom haven’t been maintained. The beds smell musty and are lumpy and uncomfortable. The walls need paint. The carpets are stained and dirty. The curtains had pigeon poop on them. The walls had black marks (mold?) There is no front desk, manager or person to go to if there are questions or problems. The last morning when we needed to go to the airport with a taxi arriving at 8:00 we were unable to leave the hotel. We were locked in. Breakfast is served at 8:00. However, no one was there. There was no breakfast and most importantly NO ONE TO UNLOCK THE DOOR AND LET US LEAVE. DO NOT STAY HERE. It is a horrible hotel and since you have to prepay you have no choice but to stay when you check in and see the condition of the room. I have always stayed in budget type hotels. This is by far the worst!!! My friend came home with bedbugs.

We are two older women who had single rooms and stayed for 3 nights in September 2025. It's an awful hotel with disgusting rooms and very uncomfortable beds with musty smelling bedding. It's old and very much in need of refurbishing. There was pigeon poop on the curtain. It looked like black mold on the walls. It had sticky floors and a bad bathroom with double swinging doors that makes in and out of the bathroom difficult. There's no front desk for any help and very irregular staffing. No one is there after 10 at night or in the morning. We were locked in the morning we needed to leave for the airport. They knew we were leaving at 8 but due to staffing issues and no ones in charge no one was there at 8. Breakfast starts at 8 but no one came. It was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It's a great location right on the main square in Harlem so its a real shame that it's so abhorrent. It was just an awful experience. Since we prepaid we couldn't leave and go elsewhere or we definately would have. I have honestly never stayed in such a disgusting hotel. Do not book.
