Librije's Hotel in Zwolle

Great place and amazing food - would definitely recommend trying. However, in our taste some of the dishes had way to much acidity and with respect to service it was really good and the staff were nice, but to us there comes a point where it get a bit annoying to continually be asked if it is a great evening etc.

A restaurant, hotel, shop, and studio in an impressive historic building (an old prison). Worth a visit.

The truly delicious food here is more than worth three Michelin stars.

I ate and slept here with two friends, and it was wonderful. The food was incredibly good and delicious. The chefs also took care of my allergies. The service was excellent. I seriously have never eaten so well. Highly recommended!

This is a must on your list if you are looking for a unique lodging and dining experience. In September, I had an overnight package which included an 8 course dinner and breakfast. This was truly a magically experience as soon I stepped out of the car. The Restaurant+hotel is located in an 18th century women’s prison. The atmosphere and dishes were so creative and thoughtful. One of my favorite dishes had a smoked dehydrated sour cream with Biquinho peppers.

Great experience. We stayed in the hotel for 1 night, had amazing dinner and lovely breakfast. It wasn't our first visit in a restaurant with Michelin stars, so we knew what to expect (and BTW, it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between 1, 2 or 3 😉 ), but we really enjoyed it. Everything was well organised, staff was friendly and professional, we had a quick tour in the kitchen and small chat with owners at the beginning of the dinner. Overall - unforgettable memories. To be fair - it was not ideal, few details could be done better/differently (mostly at the hotel aspect of the experience), but it might be unnoticeable to other guests, so it's not affecting my rating.

We had a great stay in the Libreje Hotel, the employee were kind and very accommodating.
We had a Suite with Whirlpool and it works perfectly, only the Sauna was not what we were expecting. The room is clean and beautiful, probably with much love decorated because it was very cozy.
The Hotel breakfast was a matter of taste in my opinion, I prefer a bit old school in the morning without much shi shi, but all in all it was indeed a great experience for us.

But the most amazing part of our visit was the dinner in the restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by Jonnie and Therese before being seated in the restaurant. Amazing Amuse Bouche was also served in the Foyer, the Foyer to the restaurant was Grandious, Oriental decorations, very nice..
The setting of the restaurant is very spacious, you can breathe air, unlike some other Michelin star restaurants, and offers lot's of privacy for a romantic dinner.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic and the service was professional and friendly.
We had the 7 course menu and each of the dishes was fantastic and unforgettable.
We have been to several Michelin star restaurants over the past years but Librije is one of the best for us.
After Johnnie it is very difficult to find another place to stunned for in a very positive way..
