Beautiful hotel and the staff were so friendly and helpful! We had a beautiful room on the top floor with a fabulous free standing bath. We were a short walk to the Anne Frank house with lovely local cafes around. We will definitely be back especially to visit the restaurant which was under reconstruction while we were there. Staff were wonderful in suggesting alternatives for food while we were there. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The staff were nice and pleasant, they aren’t really there but you can reach them quickly by WhatsApp. One was super helpful and took me to the laundry. Very kind! The location is fantastic to use the trams. The shower was nice and the room was big enough by Euro standards. What ruined it for me was the bed. It was absolutely horrible. I did not get one good night of sleep. It’s just a box with a mattress topper, not a proper mattress. Just hard, sunken in and lumpy. The point of the hotel is to have a place to rest, I did not get a good rest on this trip. I would avoid.

We stayed for two nights in December and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience at Morgan & Mees. We were out most of the second day and came back around 6 pm to find that our room hadn’t been serviced at all. When we asked about it at reception, we were spoken to quite rudely and told that we “should have put the sign out” and had now missed the window. This was never mentioned at check-in, and the cleaner had already left, so they said they couldn’t do anything to help. After pushing a little, they reluctantly agreed to get us clean cups. We went out for dinner and returned to find a very minimal attempt at servicing the room: a few towels (fewer than we originally had, so we had to share), clean glasses but no mugs, and no coffee restocked. They also refused to do any tidying or straightening of the room. I understand that it’s a small hotel, but the attitude from the staff and the lack of basic service really brought the whole experience down. I expected much better.

What a gem! Charming boutique hotel with clean rooms, chic decor, and very comfortable beds. Service is excellent and friendly. The restaurant is on the ground floor but everything is sound proof. Breakfast was incredible! I wish we had eaten more meals there actually. Our room was quiet and just perfect for us. It’s located in a great area of Amsterdam away from the crowds but still an easy walk, tram, or bus ride to the center. Public transport in Amsterdam in incredibly easy - just pay with ApplePay - no need for tickets - so hopping on the tram or the bus was very simple. Nearby are some great coffee and juice bars as well as an excellent bakery and ice cream and yogurt shop as well as a nice supermarket for purchasing snacks. We can’t wait to return one day!

What an adorable hotel!! Old home, turned into a boutique hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very cute bar and restaurant. We did not eat at the restaurant but would love to go back. Fantastic location, great value. We stayed on the top floor in an attic room and it was adorable. Hotel is not handicap friendly. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed every detail of this hotel. We received a lovely welcome, great rooms and its a perfect location to explore Amsterdam. The rooms have a boutique feel and are very comfy indeed. We had a loft style room with a mezzanine level bedroom area, the bed was large and very comfortable. The room was very well equipped with everything you need for a weekend stay plus snacks, water, coffee pods & coffee machine. The bathroom was spacious, with a great shower. There are only a few rooms in this hotel so you can choose the one you want depending on availability and the size and price you want to pay. We booked three rooms and the feedback from all our family was that they loved their room and their stay. The hotel has a great restaurant and also a superb bar, the staff are super helpful, they make this hotel what it is they couldn't have been nicer to us. Cocktails and drinks were amazing. We'll definitely return and can highly recommend it.

Poor value
Very expensive for what you get. Very steep flights of stairs which are not for anyone over 40. Breakfast not included. Room plumbing poor as drain smells.
