Relais & Chateaux Weeshuis Gouda in Gouda

Its very hard to find a place as nice as this in Gouda or Rotterdam that is not a hostel or has that type of vibe. Luxurious hotels are rare here so this place is truly a gem. The level of service at this hotel is impeccable. Everyone is so kind and helpful. As an American, customer service is a lost art to me often times, but the level of customer service here is above and beyond. Everything from the finest detail in this hotel makes it luxurious. Also the upgraded rooms are not that much more expensive and ITS A LOFT. It right in the heart of Gouda, and its overall the greatest hotel I have ever stayed as someone who travels often solo. I cannot recommend this place enough, its amazing. Plus the grounds are beautiful, with the open garden for dining when its warmer out. Highly recommend!

The hotel is charming, with gorgeous, cozy, comfortable rooms. The staff is great, the location perfect, and cleanliness is impeccable throughout. The only reason I give it a 9 and not a 10 is that the breakfast was somewhat disappointing in that the menu was promising, but the quality of the food was not quite up to it. Otherwise, the room in which it was served was spectacular and it was still an enjoyable moment, just not on par with the otherwise high standards of the establishment.

Beautiful historic hotel in a picturesque and quiet street of the beautiful town of Gouda. We arrived on a Monday when the restaurant and cafe are closed, and got super early check in. Hotel has a WhatsApp message system for pre check in and were responsive to a special request!
Monday and Tuesday is a quiet time to visit this town as many restaurants are closed.
Beautiful bike rides all around.

As is common in historic buildings in Holland Hotel has lots of steep stairs so if you have mobility issues mention this for your room selection.

Absolutely lovely little hotel in a great location. The value for money is outstanding. The location is right off the main square, but very quiet, off the most charming canal in the town, next to the church and museum and a couple of leafy parks.

Our room was a good; nicely laid out, with nice amenities. It was romantic and comfortable. The staff is absolutely lovely - everyone we talked to was service-oriented and ready to help, and the people we talked to were from the local area so offered nice ideas and made our short stay more personal.

Gouda is really tiny and it’s really cute, despite the raging tourism around cheese. It’s one of those places that you wish was less discovered, but we whiled away an afternoon in a café, walked the quieter streets and canals, and had a very nice weekend.

Beautiful hotel. Room 3 had a little terrace/balcony at the back which was lovely to sit on in the morning sun.

The room had a coffee machine and kettle. The shower was really nice and the products provided were very high quality.

The bed was super comfortable and we both slept really well. The hotel is in a quieter place of Gouda, but only a short 2 minute walk to the main square if you cut down the side of the cathedral.

The complementary syrup waffles on check in was a lovely touch.

Restaurant Lizz is amazing, great service and delicious food.

Wow. Everything about our stay at the Relais & Chateaux Weeshuis Gouda was amazing. We did not plan on being in the Gouda area, but I am so glad we had the opportunity to stay at this hotel. Mark was incredibly helpful with our arrival, recommendations in the area, directions, bike rentals, and everything else. The hotel is centrally located to everything we wanted to see in Gouda. The breakfast was one of the best we had in our travels. Thank you for everything, and we will definitely be back when we are in the Gouda area again.

Absolutely fantastic place, their garden is fantastic, service is top notch, waiter's are friendly and polite, i can not recommend it enough!!!👌🏻❤

Very friendly and compentent staff and the hotel itself felt very clean and put together to the smallest details. If one would like their breakfast served to them, this is your hotel.

Parking is what one would expect in an old town like Gouda, but they solved this adequately. Oh, and they hung the toilet roll the wrong way round!! How dare they!! That was about it though.. 😉
