I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily recommend to anyone looking for a beach getaway. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location is convenient, just a short walk from the beach, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

So walk around and have drinks in the restaurant with my daughter the restaurant is quite but first i order the drinks it takes 15 mins or more and the pancake i order it takes also 25 mins.  I started to feel the service is poor. Great big clean room (own choice), but in the toilet still a last piece of paper not flushed and a long woman's hair in the shower tray, yuck! Beds and pillows delicious! A very beautiful hotel! The location is fantastic! The front desk and doorman services were also excellent! The only downside was that the room wasn't cleaned perfectly on the third day, but otherwise it was impeccable. It would be my first choice again if I ever came to The Hague!

I visited the Leonardo Hotel with my 10-year old daughter for two nights and we loved it. The people are very friends and helpful. We had a very nice room with a view over the city and a bath. The breakfast was good with lots of choices. And it’s nice that there is a swimming pool. Tram 1 stops directly at the hotel, so it’s easy to go to the city center or to Scheveningen.

I liked that there is a very large selection in the breakfast room and that the overall design of the hotel is very good. What I did not like was the very long waiting time at the reception. It is my 4th or 5th stay at this hotel. It is good and practical to explore Leiden and get to Schiphol airport. Rooms are big enough for two persons. This time we stayed on the 11th floor. It is more cumbersome to get there as you have to change elevators, but the room was more spacious. The newly renovated reception looks good.

For the 4 nights I stayed, they didn't make up my room before the last night.

Although the hotel is close to the city, public transportation is not convenient and it is suitable for self-driving. There is no water in the room and you can only drink tap water. The overall hotel price is still very competitive.

The location is very good. I would expect more transparency about prices and conditions. In front of the hotel there are big project built, making A LOT of noise. Actually a pretty nice hotel, especially from the inside. Well furnished spacious rooms with balconies with fine views. The furniture could be more modern, however it is well maintained. Breakfast is tasty with a large choice of food, however the scrambled eggs are obviously made from powder, so stay away from them.

Amazing experience, very student friendly facilities and prices. Only problem was an error when trying to pay city tax, however everything became fine as they refunded the amount I paid extra for.

We had a wonderful stay in your beautiful hotel. We slept wonderfully, and the staff were very friendly. A 5-minute walk from the tram stop.

The overall feeling is good, but parking is a bit expensive. In addition, the road is under construction, and the navigation to the hotel always fails to reach the destination, which is a bit of a bad experience. Everything else is fine. I travelled a lot and this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Location was super convenient, just few minutes walk from The Hague HS train station. Very weird staff behaviour, ive stayed more than 3 times in this hotel. Never answering the concerns, as a frequent traveller tried to modify stay date staff didnt accept the request, nice approvals with not feedback. The front desk first assigned a room that was already occupied, then the replacement room had unusable power outlets, and the final room was missing slippers and bathrobes. The hotel staff was very unfriendly. The room was not the one we had requested, and we requested either a change of room or, if a change was not possible, an additional reservation, but neither of these requests were accommodated. The problem seemed to be due to an error in the room reservation system, but I was surprised at how unfriendly the staff was.

The room is not big, but the facilities are complete, the service is smooth and fast, the front desk is warm and friendly, and the surrounding transportation is convenient. It is very close to The Hague Central Station, which can be reached in 2-3 minutes on foot. The directions on the way are clear. There are many types of breakfast, which look very delicate and taste good.

We had a really good stay at the James this weekend. A group of friends and I visited Rotterdam for the weekend, this was the perfect base. I very useful serve yourself food court in the hotel allows you to access food and drinks 24 hours. The rooms we large, comfortable and well furnished. Overall a great trip, great value and would visit again.

I have stayed here before when I was in Europe and was amazed to receive the same level of service. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and spacious and the location is perfect….a 5 minute walk to the train station and 10 minute walk to the heart of Leiden shopping. I will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean ,clean towels changed regularly although bin in bathroom wasnt emptied the last 3 days. The reception staff were efficient and helpful .

Check in was super fast. Hotel was clean, front desk staff were very organized and helpful.

Not the best night’s stay The room was stuffy and there was no air conditioning. The shower was very disappointing - the water that came out of the shower-head more like a dribble! The pillows were lumpy and not very comfortable. Sadly we didn’t spend a very good night at the Tulip Inn.

The room was big. It is located in the heart of a shopping street. The downside is that the breakfast area is located some distance from the hotel, but it is within the same building. I went there for a conference from 26th to 27th February 2026.

The location is in the city centrum, very accessible. Staff were friendly and the hotel is modern and clean.

I upgrade my room to be junior suite. However, my room was opposited the pub. I can't sleep well with the noise from outside.

Hotel location is good. Shopping mall all nearby, walking distance. The down part is the staircase leading to the hotel. We had to carried our heavy luggage (20kg) up the staircase.
