Wonderful Quirky boutique hotel in central Auckland ,Close to everything .
The resturant Vivace serves delicious small plates and delovious meals . Everything about DeBretts hotel and Vivace resturant is 110%

The room was comfortable and spacious, and the staff were friendly. It was located in the city center, making it convenient to get around. The only downside was that the breakfast was a bit salty and not suitable for Chinese people. Everything else was fine.

Wonderful central hotel, with eclectic decor. Very easy access to the ferry. Fantastic rooms - we were upgraded to a loft. It had a great bar restaurant, delicious breakfast and super helpful and accommodating staff.

The hotel is a traditional hotel in great restored condition. We found the room lovely. Very clean, good choice of complementary tea and coffee and well stocked minibar although we enjoyed a drink in the lovely small English style private bar. Breakfast was from a full menu and our choice was very generous.

The hotel was very central so convenient for me. The staff were friendly. The restaurant staff were lovely and the food was very yummy. My room was great. The selection of teas and coffee was way better than most hotels. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in central Auckland.

Mixed feeling about last nights experience. Food was served promptly but then we had to remind staff about giving us a dessert menu and where our subsequent drinks were. Language (therefore understanding requests) was a barrier for 1 Asian staff member in particular. Stunning view though and generally have always had great food & service here so will still be back again for sure.
Have chalked this experience as just being one of those days......

Probably the worst breakfast experience in Auckland, I say probably because clearly I haven't tried them all, lets say the worst breakfast I've had in Auckland. Where to start, the mushrooms were tasteless under-cooked, the rosti's were so crispy and over cooked there was no potato left in them, the bacon's average as was the rest of the buffet to be fair. I'm not a complainer and reasonably easy to please, eat out often and happy to leave positive reviews someone needs to take hold of this place and do something quickly, the rooms beautiful, the maitre'd was friendly, the rest of the staff didn't come anywhere near to ask how things were going ask if we wanted proper coffees, just slack and lazy, I wont be going back and suggest no one else will be soon if this level of food quality and service continues.

Great views, food was interesting (big plate, small portion of culinary experimental digestables) classy atmosphere, went there for dinner because of grabone deal. Looking for buffet breakfast deal now.

Good Mexican food. Not expensive. Licensed with acceptable pricing. Options for vegetarians. Great fit-out and a good lively feel for small groups.

Used to be excellent here but not so muchh anymore. The atmosphere is casual and happy and the staff were awesome. Unfortunately the food is not fantastic these days. The fried chicken which was a huge favourite is now more fried batter than fried chicken. What happened too the lovely fresh inspired longer specials list?

Beautiful ambiance! Food was okay, very limited choices, taste and flavour is different from the Mexican that I'm used to, chili sauces were tasty.

This place pumps out the best Mexican food in Auckland without a doubt. Fast service, always busy but they handle tables well everytime. This is my local lunch spot for Friday and have never been disappointed ... fried chicken is key
