Located on the periphery of the main CBD area of Auckland, Grand Millennium Auckland was very comfortable, pleasant and very well priced for what you get. The room we stayed in seemed recently renovated and was large, well lit and contemporarily styled with nice modern mood lighting.
The one bonus was having secured parking available for a reasonable daily fee of NZD25 with multiple entry and exit. It was first come first serve but I did not have any issues getting a spot the two days while I was there.
The hotel was a short walk to the main central part of the CBD, about a 20min walk to the ferry terminal.
All in all was a very comfortable stay and have no hesitation staying at a Grand Millennium hotel here in Auckland or a Millennium Hotel elsewhere.

Arranging a car park when we didn’t know the registration number proved to be difficult, the rep told us it was first come, first gets a park and that reserving a park was not possible. After some discussion the rep was able to sort of reserve a park, then told us 20% of the available parked were already reserved. I question the veracity of her first comment or whether certain guests are “favoured” unless you fight for something.
This is also the first hotel I have ever stayed in where the bar would not sell me 1 beer to take to my room. They claimed it was due to health and safety concerns. But I could literally go to a liquor shop but and take multiple drinks up to my room.
Not what I would call providing a genuine service to a responsible adult guest.
I will not book this hotel again.

Hotel with a central location. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Check-in was not informative at all. The staff seem to know very little about the meaning of hospitality, especially at the reception and in the restaurant. The restaurant staff at breakfast were poorly qualified or interns, and the supervision made no effort to help.
There was a concierge, but they were never available when needed. The business center had a broken printer, and the swimming pool looked more like a public pool than a relaxing area, with an unpleasant atmosphere.
In my opinion, the hotel does not reflect a 5-star standard. The room was cleaned just the day before my departure, even with the “Please clean my room” sign on.
A disappointing and expensive stay.
There was a concierge, but they were never available when needed. The business center had a broken printer, and the swimming pool looked more like a public pool than a relaxing area, with an unpleasant atmosphere.

Excellent and perfect place to stay when you’re working however
The only thing is lacking is that the front desk staff members all of them are no people skills, not friendly, no smile, even the manager has no idea how to deal with mistakes and really respect the customer

BE AWARE THEY DOUBLE CHARGED !!!!
Two water bottle in the room each cost 7 NZD,
I only consumed 1 bottle ,
When I checked out the staff ask me did I drink the water
I said yes but just ONE BOTTLE
when I returned to my country, checked my credit card statement, found out they charged me TWICE 7 NZD, emailed them, no reply. Very UNPROFESSIONAL

Some of the worst service I've had. Wouldn't go back if you paid me... And funny enough, I was paid to go eat there.
Food was average at best lacking everything that makes Thai food incredible, they even went to great lengths to use Trident sweet chilli sauce. Stay away, you'll find somewhere much much better for a much much better price.

Disgusting! Waited an hour until someone actually took our order, place wasn't even busy and we had pre booked as a hens party dinner. The food was terrible. I had the vegetarian peanut satay, was just stringy veges on rice with a blob of peanut sauce on top ( in pic). Felt a bit sick after eating the food. Staff didn't even care about us or ask us if we needed anything. Worst restaurant I have ever been to!

Close enough to walk to from work. Lunch was nice but the set lunch price has increased fro. $15 to $17 since we went about 8 weeks ago. Food was tasty.
