The hotel's location is great, right in the city center, making it easy to get around. However, the mattress quality was really poor. It offered no support whatsoever; I felt like I was sinking into a hole and even struggled to turn over. I didn't get a good night's sleep, and it was the most uncomfortable hotel we stayed at during our entire New Zealand trip.

Location was superb. Views is as good as one can get at Christchurch.

Amenities were limited and the room is basic. Can’t complain much at Christchurch.

The room doesn't provide disposable toiletries or drinking water, so you'll need to bring your own. The room is quite clean and the location is excellent.

Breakfast is good. Location is good. Receptionists are kind and helpful. Hotel booklet mentioned the filter water is available in the lobby area but receptionist asked us to go to restaurant area to get it. However, the restaurant staff were very rude to us and questioned us. We felt we were treated like a the thefts when we just tried to fill in the hot water in our water bottles. The hot water was only available from the coffee machine, which is very inconvenient and the restaurant staff thought we tried to steal coffees when we just tried to get the hot water. Suggest not to put the water machine in the restaurant area to avoid this problem again. Very bad experience to be treat like this.

Super friendly staff, rooms were spacious and clean. Location is fantastic, literally a stone's throw away from the heart of Christchurch.

The location of Novotel is the best. Close to Riverside market and Art center, and walkable distance to botanical garden.

The location is fantastic! It's convenient for getting everywhere. The cathedral is right downstairs, and it's not far from the lakeside market or the Cardboard Cathedral, all within walking distance. The sightseeing bus stop is also close by, and the Avon River gondola rides are nearby too. Taking a taxi to the Botanic Gardens, the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts, and the art gallery isn't far either. Both New Brighton Pier and Sumner Beach are about 10 kilometers away by taxi, similar to the distance to the airport, and Uber fares are reasonable. Overall, I'm satisfied. Just a minor note, it seemed like the shampoo and other amenities weren't checked and might have run out without being noticed.

A decent, clean hotel with an excellent central location, making shopping and dining very convenient. It's directly opposite the cathedral, which is currently undergoing renovation. The 2nd-floor restaurant is also great, offering a more Western-style breakfast.

A perfect place to stay if you are travelling for business. Comfortable beds, great lighting, plenty of plug outlets, easy valet parking, walking distance to everything you need. Only thing I could fault is that the restaurant isn't open for lunch but there are plenty of other options so that's not even a valid fault. Love the balcony room. Amazing customer service, they really make you feel like you're important.

Great hotel, central location and easy walking distance to attractions, bars and restaurants. Room was very clean with a comfortable bed and bathroom with lovely toiletries. We ate in the hotel restaurant on one evening of our three day stay and the food was excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again.

We all loved our stay. Friendly staff. Great rooms, clean and well appointed. Close to everything in the city center. Tram is right out side the door. Restaurants near by are great. But, their own Chef is really good too. We ate there three nights and could not fault our meals. Tours pick you up from the front door. Parking underneath. Or, if you need to park outside in a Wilson's carpark because of height or size. It is only 25.00 a day. We will be back next year. Thank you Rendezvous Hotel Christchurch.

Stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful hotel back in 2018. I must say that the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful indeed. The room where we stayed had nice views of the mountainside. Within walking distance, there were a number of local attractions to explore. Valley parking available at very reasonable cost. Overall l, it was a very pleasant stay. 5 star for their hospitality!

Excellent views from upper floors. My room was clean and beautifully laid out. A comfortable bed meant a good nights sleep. A well stocked fridge, plenty of tea ad coffee. Also a good menu on offer for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. Lovely, friendly staff.
