Such a cool place!! Clean and tidy and actual comfortable beds! Great location, will definitely look to stay here again

Good price. The room was big enough for the 3 of us. The beds were very comfortable. Staff is nice and they were kind enough to let us check in after hours. Good location right in the city centre. The only bad thing is that the area looks a bit sketchy and unsafe but nothing happened

Can't fault it amazing place good people there very nice I loved it I suggest you should just get ear buds to sleep if the bands are playing on a weekend night if you don't like a little bit of loud music

Ariki Backpacker is in a great location, close to the museum, the coastal walkway, and a large market within walking distance.
The staff were very friendly, and it was nice to be able to do laundry at a low price and rent a bike at a very good price.
It was a guesthouse with great facilities overall, such as a small movie theater-like room, a restaurant, and a bathroom.

The cleanliness was also good.. I will definitely use it again next time.
I highly recommend this accommodation..

Overall it's OK, the most unbearable thing is that the bar downstairs is very noisy late at night, it's hard to fall asleep unless you are very tired
