It's pretty good. The location is good, and although it's a shared restroom, it's very clean. The environment is quiet, but the room is a bit small, and it felt a little cramped after opening your suitcase.

Overall decent hotel with a great potential not utilized. Common areas are beautiful but not used. Location is the best part as near everything in the small village. Pricy for what you get.

A budget hotel with 18 rooms in total. No lifts. Most rooms are on level 2 and some are on level 3. No individual bath and toilet but sharing.  Clean and good for just staying a night for a bed. Free parking.

Super small room compared to the price, please just expect a hostel.
No kitchen, only mircowave.

We stayed in Gudvangen for 3 nights early May. Initially we booked Gudvangen Budget Hotel. While check-in we were informed that the premises were being prepared for the summer season and we granted a stay at Cudvangen Fjordtell courtesy of the management. We were happy with such an unexpected upgrade to say the least.
The room view was incredible overlooking 3 waterfalls just out of the window. The room had a separate entrance, was rather spacious; there was a bathroom and a WC in the room. As for the facilities, there was a soft cozy bed, a flat TV for those who cares, a fridge, a microwave oven, an electric kettle, some disposable tea-ware. The room, which had been redecorated not long before, was clean and quiet. There was a hairdryer, immaculate towels, some soap in the bathroom. The tropical rain shower was the thing one longed for after a long day hikes and walks in the area. The hotel served breakfasts at extra charge if required. There was a petrol station nearby and Joker supermarket, where one could buy some groceries up to the liking, and the shop outlet serving tasty hotdogs. We were really pleased with the stay and very welcoming staff of the hotel. By the way, Gudvangen is a nice starting point to get reach to the beginning of Rimstigen hike, there one can enjoy an incredible view over the fjord. We sincerely recommend to stay exactly at that premises and express our sheer gratitude to the personnel.

Gudvangen budget hotel is ideal for a layover if you have a fjord cruise the next day.
Our room in the badger hotel was very simple and very clean, there is a sink in the room and a coffee station.
A very clean sharing toilet is available on the floor.
In the area there is a petrol station, coffee shops, restaurants and an amazing view.
We stayed here in August and even if this is a budget hotel the price vastly not so budgeting.
Please note that the check in desk is near the pier in building with the souvenir shop and the restaurant.

The room should be newly renovated, the bedding is very comfortable and clean, although the bathroom is shared, it is very clean and has plenty of hot water. It is very close to the departure point for the Gudvangen tour boat.
