Canyon Hotell in Alta

Canyon Hotel in Alta is poorly maintained, leaving a negative first impression with its entrance featuring missing tiles and an overall shabby appearance. The best aspect of the hotel is its location, right in the heart of Alta city center. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a rather intense receptionist who insisted on charging me 200 kroner for early check-in, despite the fact that I arrived about an hour before the official check-in time and my room was already ready. This added to the unsettling atmosphere, which was further heightened when I encountered an employee in the hallway wearing a balaclava. I had booked a room for two adults, but the bed was so narrow that it really only accommodated one person. The narrow space around the bed made it difficult to get in and out, with only about 1 foot of clearance on each side. Additionally, there was a peculiar odor in the room, and the bathroom sink was clogged, causing drainage issues. The internet connection was unstable, making streaming impossible. The only option for watching TV was through Chromecast, which proved challenging due to the poor internet connection. Ultimately, I had to use my own mobile phone as a hotspot to watch TV, which quickly consumed my entire data plan.
