Everything was good. Employees were super friendly with welcome drinks. Bunk beds are always the same in Scandic for kids. Breakfast is always delicious in Scandic. One thing that was non sense was the parking fee. It costs 450 nok for one night. Had I known this in the beginning, I would have consider airbnb also. I know it is Norway so parking fee is expansive but this parking fee is out of line

We stayed with our family (2 children) for the night. The room was nice, clean, cozy, good location (near the center). The breakfast was quite tasty (buffet), I recommend taking it. Unfortunately there were a lot of conferences going on in the hotel. We had a room on the far side of the hotel where we had to navigate stairs and a long walk past the many meeting rooms and people at the meetings, also on the Saturday night there was a night conference/party with food and champagne and music which became noisy on the evening. We always stay here but next time this hotel will not...

There is no parking at the hotel and it is difficult to find the hotel lobby to unload baggages. Very inconvenient and have to incur extra cost to park your car!

Great hotel with good location. Nice hotel location and clean. Room was nice with seaview but close to trainrail so quite noisy. The brakefast and lunch here was absolutely lovely witha great variaty of food. The brakefast made the rate higher :)

We arrived at the hotel when our cruise ship made a stop here. A 10 min walk from the berth. It was a large hotel with a conference hall. Our room was really nice and faced the sea. We did not try the breakfast as we left early for the train station in the morning - which was also within walking distance.

Hotel room is spacious for our family. Breakfast spread was superb and service was top notch. Only issue is the bad drainage in the bathroom. Easily clogged and flood the toilet.

Highly recommend this hotel. It's conveniently located right next to a supermarket, within walking distance of the city center, and close to all the major attractions. You can also enjoy beautiful sunsets from the hotel's rooftop. The breakfast is excellent and provides great value for money. While it offers underground parking, the fee is a bit steep.

Very impressive modern hotel, which o erloojs basic, essential needs. The parking is a big issue, as you are charged for 24 hrs, regardless! Very tiny windows in the room. We were unable to get a fan for the room, yet there were 2 on the reception desk for staff. Apart from that, the room was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. Checkin and out were quick.

The location is great, very central. The breakfast was quite refined, and the selection was decent. My only issue was that housekeeping didn't replenish the toiletries.

The hotel is fantastic! Our room offered a lovely canal view, and it was well-equipped with amenities like an iron, an electric kettle, and complimentary tea bags. While its exterior blends with traditional local architecture, the interior is surprisingly modern. It also appears to have a hot spring bath.

Nice food, gentle people, but the rooms are a little bit small. The beds in the new building are to small, only 80x200 cm. Thats a shame

This is a large modern hotel quite a way outside of Trondheim, although the bus stop is only over the road and takes only 20mins to reach the city centre. The hotel is nice and the breakfast is good. But the windows in our room were pretty bad. Instead of seeing outdoor, like the pictures shown here, it opens in an interior area that includes the breakfast area. Not only it means it wasn't fully dark during the night, but also if we opened the window, we had no fresh air coming in. Not all rooms have that kind of windows, but a lot do.

Hot room The room was rather small but clean and nice, BUT very very hot! I have now stayed at two Scandic hotels this summer and both have been sooo hot. Only help is a small fan at both hotels. The answer I got here was, no hotell in Trondheim has AC? Breakfast was really nice but too crowded. Would not stay again on a warm day.

Great hotel. Good breakfast. The downside of our room (and not mentioned beforehand) was that the window faced the interior. So if you opened it, you were exposed to all the noise from the lobby.

I know Norway is expensive, but... the size Q bedroom was small... and it wasn't like a chicken coop... and they only cleaned once every four days? Breakfast was so-so. The staff was friendly. If I were asked if I would stay here again, I would say no.

The hotel is in a great location, right in the city center, with a nearby parking lot. The front desk service was also very good. We checked in at 3 p.m. and we arrived at around 2 p.m. and were also able to check in early.

In general, this is a good hotel. Great location. If you come from the airport by bus, the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Good breakfast and friendly staff overall. The main drawback for me is the noise transfer from the nearby rooms which is shockingly bad for a seemingly modern building. The typical door slamming and heavy-footed thuding can be heard from the rooms above and nextdoor....

We were given a room for folks with disabilities for our first night. The shower felt like a hospital bathroom. The shower curtain was stained. They did offer a regular room for the Sunday night and kindly moved our things for us. The staff were apologetic but unable to provide the proper room for the first night.

Central location is walkable to all the major attractions. The accommodations are overall comfortable. There was a heat wave when we were there and unfortunately, the hotel did not have enough fans for the guests. We were given a very weak vertical fan, which was better than nothing. Breakfast was really good!

Spent a night there in the July month. The room had good air at day, but at night it seems they turn down the air so we were sweating without the covers on in bed.

Room and breakfast were great! The location is nice and not too loud in regards to street noise. We could hear the rowdy neighbors in the hall all night and a random person knocked on our door at 4am looking for their friend while very inebriated. There was a festival the weekend we were there and it seems a lot of festival goers were in the hotel. That’s a very isolated occurrence and may not happen...

I stayed for three nights as a solo traveler in a Standard Twin Room. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet at night. Breakfast started at 6:30 am and offered a good range of options. The hotel’s location in the town centre made getting around easy, with a shopping mall, restaurants, and cafés just a short walk away. It takes about 35 minutes to walk to the campus of NTNU, and the route is very straightforward

Badekaret manglet propp for å stenge avløpet, avløpet var delvis tett, badet var en lysfontene uten mulighet for dimming, tv'n slet med Chromecast'n. Meget god frokost. Usualy the difference between booking a room for 1 or for 2 persones is what you pay for the breakfast. the rrom is the same, but not here. We just came back from our week stay at the grand Olav. We had a great time. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The breakfast was the best as was the dinner. We enjoyed the coffee machine anytime we wanted some it was there to use. I was worried about not having AC. Being from Texas, USA in August- we need AC. But the room was comfortable with the portable fans they provided....

Very comfortable hotel in a great location. Easy access to town, port and rail. Provision of set dinner was a real bonus and not expected! Newly renovated reception area and it appears they are upgrading rooms as well. A really good value option for Trondheim.

Although the hotel is older, it's in pretty good condition. The rooms are in better condition than the public spaces and are very clean. The breakfast buffet is really great! The staff is very helpful. And the proximity to the train station is super convenient.

We loved the location near public transport and historic sites to visit in an easily walkable town center. The room, however was hot and stuffy with windows closed and cooler but very noisy with windows open.

The location was at the exact centre of the city, with a 5-minute walk to Trondheim sentrum station. Brilliant service with complimentary breakfast. Tommy, who was at the desk, was superb, friendly, and so helpful. I had a great time at the hotel being a business traveller. Recommend it to all travellers.
