Comfort Hotel Square in Stavanger – A Decent Stay with Room for Improvement

The reception is located just inside the main entrance, and I was greeted by a cheerful young man with a warm smile. He was polite, kind, and happily answered all my questions. The hotel aims for a funky vibe, and to some extent, it succeeds.

I stayed in a room on the third floor, facing the street. There was no noise from outside, but I did hear quite a bit from the room above. The room itself was spacious enough, tidy enough, and the bed was comfortable. However, the hotel could benefit from some long-overdue updates.

In the morning, it was refreshing to take a lovely shower with clean, warm water—great water pressure and temperature. For breakfast, it’s wise to head down before 8:00 AM, as the dining area isn’t very large and seating can be hard to find. That’s a good indication that the hotel is quite busy even on a regular weekday.

The breakfast selection was more limited than I’m used to, but the food tasted good, smelled fresh, and it was nice to enjoy a cup of coffee. While the variety could be improved, I want to emphasize that what was offered tasted good.

The reception area offers a decent space to relax in the evening if your room feels a bit cramped. I’d recommend this hotel for solo travelers or couples—not ideal for families.

I've been here before and was very happy! This time, it's not the hotel or the people who acted differently. It's the restrictions. We're still happy with our stay, the friendliness, and the service here! 👏 Hopefully, things will return to normal soon, and we'll be able to enjoy breakfast for more than half an hour 😁

Everyone is really nice, the breakfast is super and the personal is friendly, handsome and supportive.

Rooms are small but decent.

Location is wonderful with restaurants, shops, railway station close to hotel.
Nearby Cruise terminal is a wonderful place for walking and having multiple restaurants giving good vibes.

Located locally. Fresh rooms and great breakfast for a reasonable price!

Downsides: We missed outlets beside the beds and the existing outlets would not work if the roof head lamp wasn't turned on.

Good service, big room

The location is excellent and the rooms are spacious.

The hotel is in a good location, in the city center, 6.700 meters away from the train station and bus station. Since Stavanger is on a slope, it is not easy to find a road suitable for dragging luggage. The facilities are relatively old, the room area is not large, and the service and breakfast are also OK.

The rooms at the Nordic Hotel were not as big as expected. The room may not be the best in this trip, but the fat guy at the front desk was definitely the best service in the hotel we booked. It was around 10 pm when we drove from Oslo to Stavanger. He probably saw how tired and sleepy we were, checked our last name, and quickly checked us in.
