A good place to stay with friendly staff and good service. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Nizwa Fort and the souq are about a 10-minute drive away, and taxis are easily available. O-Taxi was reliable and always on time. The hotel felt slightly on the higher side in terms of pricing, but it seemed worth it given the quieter location away from the main city. Vegetarian options were limited but available on request.

In Nizwa new town amongst the shopping malls it was a modern hotel with good facilities and when we interacted with the staff they were very helpful and friendly. The buffet evening meal was a bit of a scrum if all the groups staying come at the same time, so arrive early for best food or later for a bit less chaotic evening meal.

We visited the hotel today for Iftar during Ramadan and we had a reservation for our full group. When we arrived. Honestly, this was the first time we experienced such a short time limit for Iftar in Ramadan. Usually people break their fast first, then go for prayer, and afterwards return to continue their dinner calmly, not have Iftar and dinner at the same time.
Another negative point was that if we stayed after the Iftar time to continue eating, we were asked to pay again. This made the experience uncomfortable for us. Unfortunately, the experience was not what we expected.

We stayed 2 nights at Intercity Nizwa. It's located next to a mall and a Lulu hypermarket, as well as some small restaurants nearby.
The hotel has ample parking.
It's a new modern hotel. Rooms are mid sized but comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are also smallish but spotless and toiletries all provided.
Breakfast is tasty and well laid out with comfortable seating.
The hotel is not walking distance to the souq and Fort and doesn't have the character of the older hotels but is is very comfortable.
I found it slightly pricey.

We came from India to celebrate birthday of my wife and daughter. We stayed in Intercity Hotel Nizwa in three rooms for three nights. Our stay was fantastic. It's an Excellent property at centrally located place. Rooms are spacious clean and well maintained. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was superb. The staff led by Mr. Nabi added to our joy in celebrating the birthday. Their service and behavior was great. Mr. Nabi is too good of a person to take care of us at the restaurant. Special mention of engineering staff Mr. Ramesh who promptly attended the room requirement.

Book at this hotel for one night to rest before heading home.
- Reception was fast and smooth in admitting us.
- Room service are very friendly.
- Swimming pool was clean.
- Room was tidy.
Cons;
- Some towels in our room had stain.
- Requested a baby cot while booking but upon check-in it was not in the room. Had to request it again and was immediately delivered.

Nice modern hotel with a swimming pool on the roof. Our room had a good bed and shower. There is free WiFi available throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet was ok. There are 2 shopping malls next to the hotel, but the city center is 7,5 km away. The hotel does not serve alcohol.

The 1st night we were welcomed by a Philippino gentleman at the front desk he provided a discount and baby cot and it was good
The 2nd night we were welcomed by 2 locals one was terrible he insisted not to give any discount I repeated over 7 times my child is pod and my mother is old send the trolley to take the bags until I made the reservation through booking . His colleague Mr.Ahmad was so kind he came to the car and took luggage then he informed me no baby cot and I have to accept it and no upgrade until I complained so Mr.Ahmad found us a extra bed . The hotel is clean .the room size is good .
You need to develop the hospitality experience in this city .

Strategic location with good breakfast. All other categories of service were extremely poor. Worst concierge service I have ever witnessed. Not recommended at all. If travelling to Nizwa, Golden Tulip is a better choice within same price range.

Three star property, therefore, deserves three stars being on the bright side. Strategically located with access to terrace swimming pool. Food is good. Value for money. Cordial staff
