The hotel is very well located, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. However, if you have a car, be aware that there is no parking nearby and it is impossible to stop in front of the hotel to unload your luggage. The welcome was impeccable and the room was clean. The hotel is old and poorly maintained. The spring mattress is very uncomfortable and the pillow is so thin it's like not having one at all. The sink and shower drained slowly and there was no soundproofing. If you are looking for a well-located, clean and inexpensive place to stay and comfort is not a priority for you, this place will do. If not, you should explore other options

It was a very nice experience. Very helpful and cheerful staff and good location at center of Lagos. Only the artificial light of the room was not the best. The room is very clean and i will be back of course in my next trip to Lagos.

Cheap Hotel with good Location

This was the worst hotel. The room had mold in the closet which made the room smell horrible. Our eyes were burning and we had to sleep with the windows open. Sheets were dirty, probably mold. The walls were extremely thin and we could hear people talking and moving around. There was feces on the floor in the bathroom near the lobby. When we complained about the mold the receptionist just thanked us for letting her know.

The hotel was basic as only a 2* hotel but served our purpose. In a great area close to everything. Staff were friendly
We had checked out at noon and I called back about an hour later asking if they could check the room for a hoodie I thought I had left. They said they would check the room for me. I called back and they confirmed it wasn’t there. I then got a message around 5:00 pm. Saying my iPads had been left. Unfortunately I was already in Faro. It’s nice that they reached out to me just unfortunate it wasn’t noticed until later

The hotel is located on a quiet street with quick and easy access to the marina and beaches. There are a lot of food options nearby. If you drive, a covered parking lot is within few minutes walk. The parking garage accepts Visa debit cards. I think Visa and Master credit cards work too. Overall I am very happy with my stay.

Very basic and cheap, but this place has a vibrant charm and atmosphere. Centrally located! Good choice.

Good location - shops and beaches. Friendly service. All necessities available. Meet lots of different people. Prices are fair. Definitely would like to go back.

Probably the best food we ate in Portugal. I got veal stew and it was amazing (huge to begin with), but it was not the size of the portion that blew me away, but taste did. Also presentation was very "authentic" with waiter serving whole dish in a still hot, right from the oven pot. My dad got salad with beets and was very delighted with it. Although we ate vegetable soup every day at different places and we liked it overall, no place had it as tasty as this - Restaurante Os Arcos was really great spot to have food and if this would be one place I would recommend to anyone visiting Lagos or the region to stop for food. For food they deserve more than 5 stars!
Personally I do not understand people who order Pasta and complain about it later - you are in Portugal - order real food that is fresh and local and enjoy it done the right way.
