We had a wonderful stay at Le Surmer on La Digue! Everything was perfect, especially thanks to Junia, who gave us so many helpful tips and really took care of us. Our room was cleaned every day, which made our stay even more comfortable. There is some construction in front of the beach, but it didn’t disturb us much – and La Digue has so many other beautiful beaches to explore anyway. The transfer to and from the ferry terminal is also very convenient for €13. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay with great hospitality!

I would book again here in a heartbeat. When I saw the phrase "self catering", I figured we were on our own for everything, but that is not the case. The manager Sagar met us at the ferry and taxied us to the chalets, arranged our laundry to be done (although oddly no underwear permitted) and they had some good bikes on hand to rent. Breakfast and dinner were available on site if you let them know ahead. Our departure ferry was 6 hours after checkout, and they let us store our luggage, and use a spare shower and taxied us back to to ferry. The kitchen was well equipped and allowed us to cook for ourselves. Well done all the way around.

I was very pleased to have a private beach area with sun loungers. The room amenities were also excellent. Bicycles were available for rent.

But there were a few minor drawbacks.

1. There's no air conditioning in the common room. You have to open the bedrooms to get a more or less comfortable temperature.

2. There was only soap. There wasn't even shampoo.

3. The bicycles were a bit old. One of the four didn't have a gear shift.

Overall, I still recommend it 👌

Property was in a not nice area, far from the life and quite shady. Property was perhaps ok for family but nothing near charming for couples. For the same price were dozens of better options. Very unsure how they got the good stars, really. Would I return? Definitely no.

The apartments are very basic. So they are technically OK but not for the price you pay. The fact that many booking website still tell that there's direct access to the beach is misleading, since there is a construction site ongoing. Sunbeds of the property still there, but you don't really want to stay there since the construction site is right behind you. Sagar is a good guy and provides you all needed (basic) information. Tricky the fact that when I was texting the owner she told me the transfer from jetty to the place was 20eur, whereas Sagar told me once I get to the place that it was 13eur. Lastly: really you need to pay extra for wi-fi? Come on...

Beautiful property with large, well-maintained rooms and kitchen. Sager, the property Manager, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. Despite being opposite the main beach, a 1-minute walk led to a private beach where I caught a stunning sunset. Highly recommend!

Le Sur Mer Chalets delivered an exceptional stay. The beautiful property was meticulously maintained, instantly creating a serene atmosphere. My room was incredibly large, offering ample space, complemented by a well-maintained kitchen that provided fantastic convenience for meals. Sagar, the property Manager, was truly outstanding: nice, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, significantly enhancing my experience with their local insights. Though situated across the road, the hotel boasts superb, one-minute access to a private beach where I witnessed a spectacular sunset. Overall, it is a highly recommended retreat for its comfort, convenience, and unparalleled hospitality.

We had a wonderful experience.

Our room were spacious, featuring a well-equipped kitchen and a separate living area, which made our stay very comfortable.

A special mention must go to the Manager, Mr. Sagar, for his exceptional service and attention to detail. He was incredibly helpful with local recommendations for trails, restaurants, shopping, and more.

Overall, a very positive and memorable stay.

We stayed for 3 nights. We were welcomed warmly. The lady informed us about the island and possible activities. Breakfast is okay but definetely a little pricey for what you get (toast, jam, butter, coffe/tea, fruits, egg). Bikes could be rented. The bikes were in okay condition but they has no light.
The accomodation itself was lovely, good equiped although not super modern. Coffee would have been nice in the kitchen. They also provided beach towels.

Transfer to the ferry is also a bit pricey even though its only a 5 min drive.

Very sadly there is no beach available anymore from the accomodation, which could have been communicated before.
