Yeongdeungpo VIP Hotel in Seoul

Absolutely terrible experience. I arrived at the front desk around 2:50 PM, thinking I might be able to check in a few minutes early. However, the front desk informed me that check-in wasn't allowed before 3:00 PM. Respecting the hotel's policy, I waited aside until exactly 3:00 PM. When I went back to check in, I was told I needed to wait a bit longer. I asked how long, and the front desk said they weren't sure and would call me when they could process it. So, I waited with other guests until 3:30 PM before finally being called to check in.

The room had a musty smell. The duvet was yellow and wrinkled, looking as if the previous guest had used it and the bedding hadn't been changed. The walls were also yellow. I could clearly hear conversations from the room next door; the soundproofing was terrible, I could make out every word. There's no housekeeping service, they only pick up the trash left outside the door. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

AVOID this hotel at all costs! It's absolutely dreadful. Despite my explicit instruction to staff yesterday that I didn't need housekeeping, they still entered my room. I strongly suspect that items I'd bought from the duty-free shop the previous day, which were still unpacked, had been tampered with. When I brought this issue to the hotel's attention, my concerns were completely dismissed. Their ultimate 'solution' was to offer me a single coffee voucher just to get rid of me – what a joke! I've already filed a formal complaint with the Korea Consumer Agency.
