I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay at the Grand Hyatt. It was the perfect place for a relaxing yet invigorating reset before a two-week trip around Korea. The hotel is well situated for those who do not mind a bit of effort: Namsan Park is nearby if you are in the mood for a refreshing but fairly challenging hike, and Itaewon and Hannam are close enough for culture, dining, and a livelier atmosphere...
The location is a bit out of the way, about 4 kilometers from Myeongdong and Bukchon Hanok Village. It's close to Namsan Park, but the main issue is that there are no shops or restaurants nearby, making it quite isolated.
Grand Hyatt Seoul: Classic Luxury with Breathtaking Views
A classic luxury hotel offering spectacular city views and extensive facilities, but with some considerations regarding its location and age.
🏨 Location & Ambiance
Situated atop Namsan Mountain, the hotel provides stunning panoramic views of Seoul. While offering a peaceful, retreat-like atmosphere, it’s on a hillside, which means walking to...
The Grand Hyatt, being an established brand, definitely delivers on quality and service. All the staff speak excellent English, so communication was a breeze, and their service attitude was wonderful. The only drawback is the small room size, which seems to be a common issue in Seoul. Also, there were too many people taking photos in the lobby, making it quite noisy. On the plus side, room service...
Understanding there is undergoing renovation for the breakfast venue but it’s ridiculous to wait for 30 mins for breakfast. The hotel can choose not to take so many bookings under the circumstances or to let the guests
Choose to have breakfast in room.
The environment is great, and the hotel service is good, but the toilet isn't up to par.

Facilities: All quite new, very good.
Cleanliness: Very clean.
Environment: The hallway had a slight renovation smell. The location is excellent, right next to COEX.
Service: The staff's English was very good, but they didn't surprise us. We had noted it was our anniversary. Hope for more thoughtful service next time.
The location is convenient, and the concierge service upon exiting the hotel was decent. However, there was hardly any other service; they even started charging for toothbrushes. For a hotel costing over 2,000 a night, you'd think they wouldn't nickel and dime guests over something so small.
Overall clean hotel located right next to the Starfield Coex Mall which makes it super convenient. It's in the Gangnam area so take note of the time it takes and traffic to get across the Hangang to access other more local neighbourhoods like Seongsu and Hannam.
Location : Excellent
Very convenient
Near department store COEX
Great stay - the experience felt super luxurious and the service from staff was wonderful.
The hotel design is beautiful, easy access to coex starfield mall & direct access to the subway. We went during Christmas time so it felt extra festive!
I ended up switching rooms 5 times. Every single room had the air purifier light on full red, indicating severe air quality issues. The smell of fresh paint and renovation was overwhelmingly strong. Seriously, cherish your life and stay away from formaldehyde-ridden rooms.

Overall it's a good hotel to relax in, and being located in the hills gives it a different feel. However, if I had to pick a downside, it would be that it's bit crowded. Aside from that, the prices are reasonable and the satisfaction level is high.
Can’t expect anything lesser of a 5 star hotel but strangely, the bathroom, which houses both the bathtub and toilrt bowl, is rather cramped and is lacking a dry clothings hanging area
My reservation was for a MOUNTAIN VIEW but lo and behold the view is more of a rooftop / compressor view
Overall it is a very good hotel
I had very experience and hotel is very clean.
Quiet comfy vibes in a secluded location in seoul, loved the outdoor jacuzi area
The hotel located quite remotely so not very convenient if you come to Korea for shopping and travelling around.
The Grand Walkerhill Hotel was so amazing! At the level and caliber of the hotel, it was a simple and grand hotel. Room itself was clean and loved the counter space where I sat to work and drink my coffee. Pressure of the shower was amazing!

Been staying at this hotel whenever travelling to Seoul. Their level of standard in terms of hospitality and cleaniness has been impeccable. The location is superb being next to Myeongdong, Subway, and connecting to Lotte Department Store with supermarket/food court.
This truly lives up to its five-star rating. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in Seoul's Myeongdong area. It's literally right outside Exit 8 of Euljiro 1-ga Station on Subway Line 2. Myeongdong shopping is just a 5-minute walk away, and the hotel is integrated with Lotte Duty Free, making it incredibly convenient for shopping. I requested a quiet room when I booked in advance, and they...
Very convenient,perfect location no complain
This hotel is super convenient, right next to the duty-free shop. The room was really spacious and much better and cleaner than any other hotel I've stayed at in Korea. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit. The staff were great, and it was easy to get a taxi. Plus, you can enjoy a drink downstairs in the evening.
Service was ok, room is clean, assistance also good
The location is super convenient, right by Lotte. You can access the mall directly from the basement, and if you walk across the street, there are plenty of food options and drugstores. It feels like an older, well-established hotel with a certain level of class, but it is showing its age. The hairdryer isn't very powerful and could definitely use an upgrade. Overall, I thought the room was quite decent...

Extremely satisfied, will definitely come again next time. It's right next to Lotte Duty Free and just a few minutes' walk to Myeongdong shopping street.
Nice location but old facilities otherwise all is wonderful
Location: The location is very convenient. From the lobby on the first floor, you can access the subway station directly. From the basement, there's another subway entrance and a Starbucks across the street. You can walk through a passage straight to Myeongdong Shopping Street.
Cleanliness: Although it's a bit old, it's kept very clean.

The hotel's location is super convenient, with tons of malls and restaurants nearby. Transportation is also a breeze, and it's really close to Namsan Tower. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The family room was great, and they even upgraded our bed to a King-size for free when we checked in. The hotel's service was also excellent. Initially, I had trouble with the phone screen mirroring, but they sent an engineer the next day to help, which was incredibly thoughtful. Great location, just a crosswalk away from Myeongdong. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. Although the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained. Conveniently located next to Yeouido Park with excellent transport links. There's a large shopping mall downstairs and direct access to the subway station.
Facilities: Very complete, the floor heating was super comfortable.
Hygiene: Very clean, though they weren't prompt in replenishing tissues during our multi-day stay.
Environment: High-end, stylish, and impressive.
Service: Extremely thoughtful, they helped with luggage and even contacted us when we left something behind.
The room facilities are very new, clean, and the view is excellent. The front desk, restaurant, concierge, and service staff were all very enthusiastic, providing a top-notch experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained throughout my entire stay. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness of the bathroom and toilet area. Everything was spotless, fresh, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail, which made me feel very comfortable and relaxed.
The location was also excellent, with convenient and easy access to Myeongdong and other popular areas....
Excellent, very clean. This is my second time booking here, and I'll definitely stay again when I visit Korea in the future. It's super convenient – just a short downhill walk with your luggage from the hotel entrance to the airport bus stop. Plus, it's very close to Shinsegae and Lotte Duty-Free shops, as well as Myeongdong shopping street. It's also near the subway station. Highly recommended!
The room was spacious and the location was excellent, right next to Sungnyemun Gate with lots of food options nearby. Highly recommended, great value for money. There's also an airport bus stop right outside that goes directly to Incheon Airport.
I had an unpleasant stay as the cleanliness is terrible. There were dust almost everywhere, and the room looks like it is under renovation, peeling paint.
Condition of the fixtures were not good including the door frame being broken on the 2nd night.
Staff was helpful when I raised these issue.

Overall, it was very good. The hygiene and service were excellent. The transportation was also quite convenient, with a mall downstairs directly connected to the subway, making shopping and dining great. The lounge stops admitting children after 4:30 PM, but everything else was fine.
The environment is great and there's a strong Christmas atmosphere.
Extremely overpriced hotel, seriously expensive! The view is great though! I'd still recommend it.
Location is really best. Top tier shopping and food street are just around the corner, which are connected by stairs.
Great location, service and room were great. Only hiccup was not being able to get a room with one large bed instead of 2 beds. (requested but unavailable). They did make it up by giving us some wine and cheese in the toom. Good touch.

Great location right by City Hall Exit 6 and Sogong Underground Shopping Link Exit 2 that leads to Myeongdong. Cheonggyecheon stream is just 600m away, perfect for a morning run. Staff were attentive and helpful. Gym was in another building on a high floor and very well equipped. Room was a bit small but comfortable enough.
Location is decent but traffic can be quite congested given that it is in city hall area. It’s walking distance to restaurants and tourist attraction. Unfortunately room is relatively old and quite poorly maintained. Its dusty and daily amenities are not properly stocked or replenished. Thankfully I called and staff took action to fix it correctly. However, it would be better if things are good to...
Pros: Close to Myeongdong, quiet, and dozens of restaurants within a five-minute walk.
Cons: Housekeeping is a joke (they only change the sheets and trash bags). The gym is in a building across the street, which is the most inconvenient part – you have to change clothes if you're already in your workout gear.

I had an early bird good deal with an awesome breakfast. The hotel is located in downtown with walking distance to Myeondong. The room is quite small but the bedding is comfy. Everything is spotlessly clean.

Overall, its good services are good. Two of us tried the Chinese Guangdong food restaurant. Honestly, not authentic and too much salt or MSG. Very thirsty whole night. The bill for 2 eaters is same as one night's room rate. For the quality of foods served it's not worth it.
Right in the city center, super convenient for shopping. The room was spacious and the breakfast was excellent.
Convenient location and a good environment, highly recommended for business travelers.

This Four Seasons has a pretty good location, but the property itself feels a bit dated. Breakfast is served in the basement, and the dim lighting there didn't create a great ambiance. The bedding in the room was just okay, and I didn't sleep very comfortably. I'm not sure if there were bed bugs, but after two nights, I broke out in small rashes. The location is undeniably great, right below Hyundai mall.
I had to cancel 1 night and even though i submitted the request within the amendment period, it was conveyed to the hotel and by the time the hotel responded, it had past the deadline. This place is really, really shady. I was traveling with two kids, and they told me I had to pay an extra 550,000, claiming a room is only for two adults and one child, and an additional child incurs a fee. The shower door leaked a bit (water pooled outside after showering), and since the room wasn't very big, this was a minor inconvenience.
Aside from that, everything else exceeded my expectations! The photos on the booking page actually do this hotel a disservice; the service and hotel environment are easily 5-star standard!!
Nice hotel close to Itaewon, although rooms are really small and not as well thought out as other 5 star hotels. Altitude lounge and pool were closed for the winter season and no air conditioning in the room (only heat) which meant we needed to sleep with windows open. Decent breakfast selection.
Very kind staff with most of them speaking english. Stayed there couple of times and the rooms are nice here. I once had a distinct bad smell in my room but staff were kind enough to quickly change it.
Gym is very nice and the pool is big.
The room itself isn't very big, but the location is great; it's convenient to get anywhere by taxi. The service was decent. There's a coffee shop right next to the lobby on the first floor, but the music there is quite loud. The air conditioning in the room was also a bit noisy. Overall, it's a good budget-friendly option.
Very beautiful hotel. Greeted by staffs who helped open the car door, and get your bags and luggage to the check in counter every day!
Only bummer was at check out timing is 11am, we tried asking for later check out timing during check-in and was told hotel is full. Managed to get a late check out of 12pm when we tried again the night before leaving the hotel.

It was a good experience considering the price.
There's a GS25 convenience store right across from the hotel, which was great for a quick breakfast.
The room was quite small; with a small round table and two chairs, it felt very cramped, especially on the side where it was right up against the bed, making it impossible to get out of bed from that side. The hotel location is the best, it’s located at Myeongdong. Very convenient for shopping and a lot of foods and cafe nearby. The setback is the hotel amenities is quite old but still acceptable. The hotel is very clean and the transportation is convenient. I will definitely stay here again.
The hotel offers a great variety of food choices. Its prime location makes getting around super convenient, with plenty of restaurants just downstairs, and a cinema, restaurants, and convenience stores only a short walk away. Breakfast was the highlight, and the complimentary snacks in the minibar were delicious – the front desk even gave us extra. A special shout-out to the room manager, Mr. Park...
The location is great, but the soundproofing is terrible. It feels like sleeping on the main road, and the hallway soundproofing is also bad. It's so noisy next door, it feels like their door is open.
Overall: For two to three thousand without breakfast on a weekday, the value for money is quite low.
Room:
Our floor was quite low, and there was a strong smell of renovation.
As soon as you enter the room, you're greeted by a stunning view of a small town's street – no need to even mention it.
Although soft drinks in the minibar are free, it's just a few cans of Coke, orange juice, and room-temperature...
1. The soundproofing is absolutely terrible! It felt like motorcycles were driving right over our heads, and we could hear every word spoken in the hallway so clearly that we thought people were in our room.
2. The lobby was as chaotic as a marketplace. There's a restaurant, or maybe it's for afternoon tea, but it was noisy and messy all day, staying loud until past 10 PM – it was deafening.
3. Apart...
The location is excellent, right above the subway station. There are plenty of food options nearby, and the surrounding neighborhood is lovely – I even saw cherry blossoms! The room was a bit small, not comparable to a 5-star hotel in China, but I'd describe it as a small yet refined hotel.

This hotel is very quiet and elegant, and it even has a swimming pool. The only downsides are that it's a bit far from central Seoul and breakfast is a bit pricey. It's perfect for those with a layover at Gimpo Airport.
The swimming pool and golf course are both great.
It is quiet and pleasant. Inside the hotel, there is an astonishingly well-maintained walking trail and the landscaping is incredibly beautiful. All the staff I encounter are kind. The condition of the room is also very clean. It was very close to Gimpo Airport, so the location was good, and there is an aviation museum nearby that children will love.
Beautiful hotel near gimpo airport!
Super convenient shuttle service to the airport as well as nearby lotte mall.
The pool and gym facilities are beautiful too!
It was very clean, and the service attitude was excellent. However, the new building had a strong smell from the wood paneling, almost like formaldehyde, which was a bit overwhelming.

The public transportation is really convenient, and it's close to all the major TV stations. The airport shuttle goes directly there. It's perfect for catching music shows, although the room itself isn't particularly big. Overall, the soundproofing is quite good.
Happy with my stay, the room was spacious, had a great sized balcony. Location is in a business district however was ideal for my stay. Check in and check out was extremely easy. The only downside is that you have to pay for your toothbrush etc in a vending machine for an extra fee.

1️⃣ **Cons**
**I. Guest Rooms**
1. **Facilities are mediocre.** They're not even as good as the Park Hyatt Beijing or Shanghai. On my last night, I noticed the bathroom cabinet door wouldn't stay shut (I have a video), but since I had an early flight the next day, I didn't bother asking for a room change.

Pretty good, the room is spacious and the location is excellent.
Cleanliness: Clean, and the aromatherapy was a nice touch. Service: Very good.
This stay was quite disappointing and didn't meet my expectations for a Park Hyatt. First off, the entrance is very small and doesn't match the Park Hyatt's stature. You turn from the main road into a narrow alley to get in, and the entrance is so tight that all cars have to back out, they can't just turn. Even the Christmas tree at this 'esteemed' Park Hyatt wasn't as nice as those at small shops...

Seoul, 67 Toegye-ro, Jung-gu (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Location and price compared to surrounding hotels is worth it based on the space of the room. However the room is really too dim and the whole hotel gives an eerie feeling due to the colonial architecture

Do note that the hotel doesn't provide toiletries like toothbrushes and toothpaste, so be sure to bring your own...
