Seoul Rex Hotel in Seoul

The hotel was nice an also close to my destination. However, there was no shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom. Also, someone airtagged me from the hotel for over 2 hours.

I went to South Korea for a shopping trip, so I chose a hotel close to Myeongdong. It was my first stay there, and it's just about a 5-minute walk from Myeongdong Shinsegae, which made shopping very convenient. Personally, I prefer Lotte and Shinsegae in Myeongdong, and you can still find food in Myeongdong after 10 PM. The hotel's location is good, but the room environment and facilities aren't great. It's fine if you're traveling alone, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're with friends or family.

I had a great stay at this hotel, the location is excellent. It’s perfectly positioned between Myeongdong and Namdaemun Market, with convenient access to Namsan Tower, so you get the best of both worlds: a quieter atmosphere, while the vibrant energy of Myeongdong is only a few minutes’ walk away.

It’s also ideal for shopping and festive sightseeing. Shinsegae Department Store is directly across the road, and Lotte Department Store is just down the street, both well-known spots for Christmas light displays.

The hotel and rooms have a classic, antique style. It’s an older property, but everything was clean and well-maintained. My room was spacious, with a large window and a nice city view. Amenities are minimal, but the value this hotel offers is still more than enough for a comfortable budget stay.

I stayed a week at Rex Hotel for a business trip and was so pleasantly surprised by the massive room as I got upgraded to a suite. The vibe is very retro and staying in this hotel feels like a travel back in time. It has some kind of Soviet charm, which I absolutely loved.

Check-in was super easy. When checking out, the staff were very detailed and patient in explaining where the shuttle bus stops and other information.

Excellent! It's quiet, convenient, and only a 10-minute walk from the animation district. The breakfast was Italian-style and quite abundant.

The location is great, near a subway station and within walking distance from Seoul Station and Myeongdong. My room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. As mentioned in most reviews, the hotel is very old and requires renovation. This was not the problem for me, however, the problem was insufficient lighting as there were only two small desktop lamps and one standing lamp, so the room was very dark in the evening. The hotel is near heoyoen station, exit 1. The location is good. The room is considered big with a bathtube. Stayed for 2 nights. Walkable to myeongdong, which is good. There's food around the area and namdaemun market is just few minutes walk across the main street. Overall, a good stay.

The location is excellent! Namsan Tower is right behind the hotel, and Shinsegae Department Store is just across the street. The subway station is directly outside, and you can even buy a subway card at the nearby CU convenience store. It's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Nice location and hotel facilities, the front desk provide excellent service. It a bit old but everything is ok
