Noise from nearby bars and street activities, especially late at night, affecting sleep quality on lower floors. Limited housekeeping frequency and inconsistent towel changes unless requested by guests. Outdated facilities and a somewhat gloomy atmosphere, with a poorly maintained elevator carpet and strong odors noted.

Excellent location and price however you get what you pay for. The washroom was very dirty despite it being cleaned before our stay. We also found stains on our sheets and dust behind items when moved to make more space (ex, the phone and coffee tray). If you do not care for cleanliness, i recommend booking this place! However if this is something that really bothers you, pls look elsewhere. Despite all, the location was exceptional, literally steps away from the metro and the most lively street with tons of bakeries and activities.

Well, there aren’t many options of staying in Jongro / Ikseon and now when I know the area - I would rather book in Insadong not because I didn’t like the location, but because of the quality of hotels. This one is very basic yet functional for a few days stay - mattress is rather hard like wood, towels are limited and grey color, upstairs roof top is a mess as well as vending machine with food & drinks announced in the basement has disappeared (another one vending love toys remains). But you get a convenience store in front of hotel door. Yet hot water runs with strong pressure, aircon works, windows can be open for a fresh air, and the view from the 9th floor rooms is intriguing to go and explore. It has all necessities of sleeping right in the middle of action that area has to offer - hundreds of eateries, spa, probably clubs are at your door step (you can hear the beat up until 1-2am but it wasn’t bad). And very very charming Ikseon Hanok village starts when you exit the hotel door - more cafes, shops, bakeries and restaurants to explore. I would give it solid 3* for the location, and maybe 2* for the hotel itself (but I’m picky - it’s way better than basic rooms you get in Singapore or Hong Kong).

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff, superb location for tourists, especially ones who want nightlife as there are night markets right outside the door.

Never have I ever stayed at a hotel with a restaurant at ground floor playing loud outside music until 2:00am everyday. Some nights I had to use my earphones with noise cancellation. Terrible! Bathroom was in a poor condition - loose fosset and tiles were broken in the shower. Won't stay here again.

I stayed a week. The location, on the famous Pocha St, is great. It can be super loud but on the 8th floor, it was ok. My room was around 150 sq ft. Maybe... The mattress was on the floor so it was hard. There is no cleaning of the room, even for a one week stay.

The room was a bit run down, the bed super hard. The location is great and the hotel is safe

The room was not cleaned properly and the towels were not changed the next day.

The location is good, right at the subway entrance. The facilities are too old, and the whole place feels gloomy and outdated. There's always a bad smell in the elevator, and it's very stuffy without air conditioning. The cleaning is very untimely. It took four hours for the front desk to come clean after I told them the day before yesterday. At the beginning, they said they wanted to change the sheets, but they didn't change them after cleaning. They didn't change them until I told them again. The restaurant with the yellow cover on the left side of pictures 1 and 3 is probably rented out by the hotel to a business. It's very unsightly. I spent a long time searching for the main entrance of the hotel the day I arrived. I was also surprised that this small restaurant doesn't accept single people. I asked a friend to bring the clothes in picture 2 back for me, but they disappeared the next day. I told the front desk the day after tomorrow, and they found them for me after I checked out today, but my luggage was already packed and couldn't fit in.

We booked a hotel for a week.
Arrived late in the evening, found the hotel right away and checked us in quickly, the room was clean. There is a hair dryer, hair straightener, safe and all the toiletries (hair conditioner, body lotion, face wash, razor, toothbrushes, etc.).
Cleaning, changing towels and bed linen was done once a day and only when we came up with a request to clean up. They hung a sign asking to clean up, no one paid attention to it. The water was also replenished only once.
We lived on the 9th floor in room 901, it was quite quiet, despite the fact that the windows overlooked a busy street, we heard the neighbors only when they were in the hallway.

This is a great value for a stay in Seoul. The location is absolutely sensational. It's on a street packed with restaurants, with a subway station directly in front of the hotel. Across the street is the entrance to Ikseon-dong Hanok Village, a nest of alleyways with tons of unique shops to explore. Other subway stations are also nearby and Gwangjang market, with its literally thousands of stalls, is a fifteen minute walk. One thing to note is that if you are planning on using a car (you should not be) the streets near the hotel can be almost impassible to vehicles because there are so many people walking around. The price is an absolute steal for the area, but the hotel is very basic. There is a small lobby and a tiny common area on the second floor with free bottles of water. Rooms are also very minimal. Mine had a bed, TV, nightstand, and not much else. No desk, and only a single outlet. As a final note, the bed and pillows were very firm. I like that, but if you prefer plush mattresses you will find the bed unpleasantly hard. For a cheap stay where you spend most of your time exploring Seoul rather than being cooped up in a hotel, this is a great choice.
