Hotel Sunbee Insadong in Seoul

Really great and convenient hotel in the heart of soul! Recommended for all international and budget-conscious tourists!

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were clean. There was a Chinese-speaking receptionist, and all the front desk staff were polite and well-mannered, leaving a good impression.

Good location, and they have a self-service laundry which is convenient.

The location is great, really close to Insadong. I loved the traditional-style facilities and the friendly staff.

Nice hotel with good services and good location. Will order again next time.

Decent hotel with spacious room and toilet.
Hotel has a free to use washer and dryer in the laundry room down at the Basement (tap card to access stairs from level 1).
Hard to book Uber from the hotel location as it somehow appear as a no pick up zone, you can shift the pin somewhere near the hotel just a little outside of the no pick up zone. Drop off at the hotel has no issues however.
Free coffee at the cafe right at the hotel.
Hotel staffs speak English.
Housekeeping is up till 2.30pm only, so if you’re here for the night parties, may need to be up earlier.
No staffs manning the lobby at night. But you can self check out with the camera manned counter if you do leave at night.

Our family of four stayed here. The room was clean, spacious enough, and had underfloor heating, which made our stay very comfortable. The front desk staff were also kind and made our experience pleasant. We'd love to stay here again the next time we visit Korea. Thank you!

1. Early Check-in Experience. I arrived around 1pm and was delighted that the friendly staff allowed me to check in early. This thoughtful gesture set a positive tone for my stay.
2. Excellent Location. The hotel is in a fantastic spot—within walking distance to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Anguk and Jonggak subway stations, and surrounded by convenience stores and even a Korea Mart. It made exploring Seoul incredibly easy and enjoyable.
3. Laundry Facilities. The free use of washing machines and dryers is a great perk. However, some guests tend to hog the machines, leaving their laundry inside long after it’s done. I suggest the hotel implement a stricter rule, such as allowing staff to remove clothes if they’re not collected within 15 minutes, so everyone can benefit from the facility.
4. Housekeeping Service. This area needs improvement. Despite being out until 3pm, my room hadn’t been cleaned. Even after requesting housekeeping at 5pm, the service felt incomplete—towels were left scattered on the side table, and the room didn’t feel fully refreshed.
5. Staff Experience. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. A special compliment goes to Noah Han, who assisted us with a laundry issue involving another guest. His professionalism and willingness to step in made a big difference and left a lasting positive impression
Overall Impression. Hotel Sunbee offers great value with its prime location, friendly staff, and useful amenities. While minor hiccups with housekeeping and laundry etiquette affected the experience, the overall stay was enjoyable. With a few adjustments, this hotel could easily become a top choice for travelers in Insadong.

This hotel is amazing! At first, I was worried since it's a 3-star hotel but turns out it's giving me a 4-star vibes. Staff are very helpful and keen to speak English, they recommend us some restaurants nearby and taught us how to take the bus to airport. The room is so spacious with a bath tub and toilet separated. They also have a two beds (one queen size plus one single), and provided water bottles daily and slippers. I'll definitely stay in this hotel again!

We had a great stay. The staff was very helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Great location. If we make it back Seoul this is where we are staying.
