Hotel Laon in Busan

I feel like this hotel has so much potential to be a great hotel but they would need to work much harder in their service. One of the toilet lights was almost out when I checked in so I called the front desk and they got me to go back to the first floor and changed my room.

The corridor lights for the floor I was on was not turned on until my third night there so I went back to darkness the first two nights.

If you're travelling with friends, just note that the design of the toilet and shower room was made in such a way where you can see through to the other side so it might be an inconvenience.

Aside from the very nice bespectacled girl, it seems rare to actually see a staff around. There was even a day when one of the guest approached me at the entrance because she wanted to check in but there was no one at the counter for almost an hour.

Housekeeping doesn't happen everyday even if you put the make up room sign... I asked one of the male staff at the counter about it and he just very briefly told me, "tomorrow" even when I told him it has been two days and my room hasn't been made. There seems to be neglected areas in the room that hasn't been cleaned for a long time.

Hotel breakfast is a very simple spread of bread, fruits, lettuce, ham, cereal and eggs (there is only one kind, you can't choose), manned by this nice lady at the counter. It's almost the same everyday so don't expect too much. There's cup ramyeon available there too.

The only helpful staff at the front desk seems to be the bespectacled young girl who couldn't understand much English but still tries her best to help. Just having her presence at the front desk makes the hotel much more welcoming.

If there's any reason I'd come back for, I'd say that it would be for the sea view and that the location was near the surf school that I went to.

The hotel had a great view, but the cleaning was poor. The refrigerator was so underpowered that I couldn't drink cold water in the middle of summer. And the bidet was broken, preventing me from using its cleansing function, which was extremely inconvenient.
