Hotels on first line in Calpe

We have stayed once in the city view room and twice in the sea view rooms, they are most certainly worth it! The rooms are clean and comfortable we really can’t fault the sea view rooms, we could just sit on the terrace all day looking at the view! The breakfast is exceptional, so much choice and all good quality food, we particularly enjoyed the omelette station and the fresh orange juice

The pool area I would imagine is very busy in summer but you are right on the beach! All the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is great within Calpe, plenty of excellent restaurants, bars and cafes nearby, a short walk to the old town up the hill and a gorgeous promenade to walk along, you can walk to and hike up the Peñon de Ifach, for amazing views of Calpe

The hotel's location is directly on the sea, the breakfast is varied and delicious, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The facilities are great, with good hotel gym (it’s spacious and has a bench press, dumbbells, some strength machines, a cable and cardio machines as well) with a supermarket below the hotel, and the spa circuit was enjoyable

Very clean Room well prepared every day. Excellent food with a huge choice in restaurant. Unfortunately too expensive parking for the guests. Spa area unfortunately charged extra. In overall hotel highly recommended

Food and drinks for breakfast are very diverse and they offer a discount in their supermarket for the hotel guests. They also offer a lot of free organized activities during the day

The hotel is in a great spot — right next to the beach and within easy walking distance of the town center. The rooftop terrace offers beautiful sea views and is definitely the highlight

Loved the rooftop pool and the “Calpe Diem” lounge bar — perfect spot for a drink at sunset. Excellent value for money and a very pleasant stay overall!

Lovely stay at the Bahia, friendly staff great location. Lots of food options for breakfast. Great roof top pool with stunning views.

All in all, it’s fine for a few days by the sea, mainly because of the location, but if you’re looking for more comfort and a quieter experience, there are better options in Calpe

We asked for a room upgrade with a sea view, but were told the hotel was fully booked — although it didn’t really feel that way during our stay. Breakfast was okay but repetitive

A great hotel with amazing views of the Mediterranean and the Peñón de Ifach. The location right by Playa del Arenal is perfect. Rooms are modern, clean, and have balconies with beautiful views

Everything was 1 to 10 minutes walk including beach/prominant, pubs restaurants, supermarkets, retail shop

He did remove towels during the week but this was people who had been gone for hours and we never struggled to get a sunbed during the week as it was quite quiet

The lifeguard was friendly and found us sunbeds on our first day when it was quite busy

I have just read a horrible review for this hotel from someone & I totally disagree. My husband & I have been coming to this hotel since 2015, sometimes twice a year, we have always been treated well

We are british & no one discriminate's against us infact it's the opposite. EVERY member of staff from management to maintenance are polite & welcoming. We love the esmeralda hotel & the resort

We're just sad that they will be closing in October for refurbishment & we're not shaw when they will be re-opening. Thankyou all for the lovely times we've had in the past at your hotel

Stayed as part of a convention. Everything very well catered for, even with so many people there. The rooms are spacious, clean and well cared for. Public areas are very attractive with plenty of seating

Lots of glass! The outside pool area is nice and secluded. We walked along to the Esmeralda to meet friends. The promenade is only a short stroll away

Nice hotel, room and bathroom, close to beach. But it has a couple of flaws, It is not a tourist hotel. We found out that 80% are bikers that practice in and around Calpe

Use of the inside swimmingpool including spa cost you 33 euros (ridiculous price. I only wanted to swim but not for 33 euros. All in all mixed feelings about this hotel

The pools were great and my children had so much fun. The infinity pool was beautiful and warm considering the time of year. The other pools were much cooler but it didn’t affect my children enjoying and having fun

Room was spotlessly clean/ cleaning offered each day by the staff. The bed was comfortable/very spacious room with an excellent view of the sea. Balcony area was private enough with sunbeds available

The most beautiful hotel, rooms were stunning. Cleaned to perfection every day, room was so spacious and the balcony was massive and overlooking the beach

This includes fridge / freezer, microwave, grill, fan oven, toaster, pots, pans plates, cutlery etc. The sea view from the suite is amazing

The hotel is situated only minutes walk from a very clean beach which is good for a paddle along the shore after breakfast

I visited the spa on 2 occasions/ taking advantage of the October special (Spa circuit/candle massage). This offer was excellent value for money and the staff were very attentive and professional

Location was perfec for us, close to a small harbour, two beaches with long boardwalk. 3 busses close by, so you could either walk about 2km to old town or take the bus

Outdoor pool was to cold for us but there was a heated inside pool we could enjoy. Good buffet restaurant, with plenty to choose from. Room was big and the view nice

Second stay in the hotel for a bike holiday. Decent food, nice spacious rooms and friendly service. The animation in the evening can be very loud, but you have a second door in the room 😉

Underground parking was available. The indoor pool was actually heated and not warm to cold. Joel at the front check in counter was very friendly and very helpful. All the Staff spoke perfect English

Guests often touched food or utensils accidentally. The location is good, near the beach and scenic walks, but the surrounding area is unremarkable

Just had a wonderful stay at Hotel Porto Calpe. It's a quiet hotel featuring just a small pool area. We had a front facing sea view room with balcony. Beds were very comfortable and we slept well

The pool although small was ideal for cooling off with comfortable sun loungers. The staff were very helpful especially at reception and in the breakfast room, nothing was too much trouble

Stayed for a 2 week cycling vacation and the location was perfect. The hotel was more than we could ask for. Very clean and well cared for. The breakfast was amazing. Would definitely stay again.

Just spent 6 nights at this hotels was very impressed. The room we had had a lovely view over the port, was exceptionally clean and had a great shower. Breakfast was also very good with a great selection

Fabulous staff, so helpful and happy. The location is great, some fantastic fish restaurants just over the road. Nice restaurant next to the hotel too. Breakfast was amazing, so many choices.

Good area for nice restaurants and walking up Calpe rock. Staff on reception are very nice, efficient and speak good English

The Hotel is ideally situated, with the seafront just across the road. A lovely walk along the front to the vibrant town centre

We ate out at a local restaurant on our second night due to the dinner menu not being great! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return in the future but only on a bed and breakfast option

We were staying full board with wine and water included, There was a good choice of food each day, well prepared and presented. The standard of service was really good with all staff very eager to assist

Great stay but food in restaurant wasn’t hot enough. I was on half board and I was worried about the holding temperatures for the hot food. The variety of the food was good though

I was able to leave my car in the large, secure underground parking area at an additional cost. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return this coming year

We were close to a very large supermarket, 5 mins to the tourist ‘Tren’, literally on the beach 🏝️ and 5 min walk to the start of the promenade. The old town was really lovely, would like to explore that more

There is a small quiet beach about 2 mins walk from the apartments but this had a lot of died seaweed on when were where there but the main beach is about a 5 min walk. Great value and great location

We stayed in a Bungalow on site with a private garden and parking. It’s just reopened under new management and the main Hotel area has two pools with a nice garden / sunbathing area. Will definitely be returning 10/10

The pool was a great bonus as it was crystal clear and quiet enough to do some lane swimming before a full day of eating and drinking. (There is also a shallow pool for small children)

The sea was warm enough to swim in and very clear with large fish swimming around our feet

Well this is my 4th visit to this brilliant friendly and exceptionally clean hotel. We use the Galetamar as a base for going rock climbing in Costa Blanca and each time we've been we have had a fantastic time

A perfect spot for a get together with our friends before heading to the readily accessible restaurants and beach. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended for any stay in Calpe

Very good, nice and small hotel in a very close vicinity to the beach, just 1 min walk! Preferably to take a room with balcony. Nice and comfortable small lounge zone on the roof with daily snacks and coffee

Super location. Really kind, helpful and considerate owners. Lovely and clean. Great value. What's not to like! Free of charge snacks and drinks on the terrace is a really nice touch too. Recommended!

A hidden gem at a fantastic price! The room, though small, was immaculate and serviced beautifully each day. The rooftop terrace is an oasis with snacks, breakfast fixings, tea, coffee, and even wine

The perfect spot! Leaps beyond anyone else we stayed with in cleanliness, function, style, and value. The ladies that run this small hotel take great pride in their work and it shows

The hotel is set in such a peaceful location bit with easy access to all you need…. the pool area is fabulous and quiet with guest enjoying the serenity of the surrounding…

The hotel is a short walk to the beaches and town and this was perfect for us in terms of a stroll out each day and evening … we loved the walk …

Our venue was for a wedding out from the hotel, but we enjoyed our stay having lunch at the Bistro side, with Healthy and tasty meals and a charmous employees taking care of us We also choose the SPA, DANIELLE was in charge to procure to us a wonderful massage, sweet and relaxing, really professional people Then we used the SPA, perfect and private, a real luxury stay! The hotel is getting a bit tired and I know work is starting on an upgrade in November but we still had a fabulous stay … the whole feel is so very relaxing … big thanks to all the staff but especially Simona and Sophie …

We had dinner included and the options offered were amazing. Breakfast was varied and one recommendation would be to offer more hot options as at times It was quite limited. The staff were a credit to the hotel

The room was clean though a bit old. Bed was fine and the fans kept the room fresh during the night. Bathroom and shower very small. Price-quality I would say it's very good

There was a restaurant on the street outside, however with closed windows the nice did not bother us. The staff very nice and friendly

Was located on a sidestreet which was quite. OK small room with shower and toilet. Had two fans which I appreciated as it was very warm during my stay. One night there was alot of noise in the hotel

The hotel is in a great location in old town and a 10 minute walk to the sea. We had our adult son with us and paid for an extra person in the room

In the centre of the old town, only 5 minutes walk from the ALSA bus. We opted for the junior suite which had lots of space. Would definitely come back.
