Good location close to the sea and the big swimming pool are especially important in summer. Hotel is 10 to 15 min by car and 1 hour on foot from Peniscola

Huge swimming pool is also plus! You can walk to the beach just 1 minute from the hotel

Best fitted rooms for a modern hotel, Very well appointed, sockets in the right place, lighting brilliant, bathroom well fitted, good practical balcony. The buffet not good for a 4 star hotel

Rooms are spacious and most have two large double beds

Mare Nostrum i wouldn't recommend. Very bad food (fish wasn't prepared well at all), clinical place with no atmosphere what so ever. Staff al friendly, great views from our rooms on the pool and beach

The salad bar was excellent but the hot dinners were only just warm and served on a cold plate. The gala dinner and lunch were amazing

We had not realised that it would be so noisy, so not the best choice for us as our room was right above the Pool area where all the activities take place

Definitely a retirement vibe here and we were there before busy season. But the hotel was great, food was great. Having laundry services were an added bonus. We got to catch up on laundry

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, many offering stunning sea views — waking up to the sound of the waves was a highlight

We had a front seat view and were able To sleep with the balcony doors open and listening to the waves. Overall it was fantastic and we would return off season

You can watch the sunrise over the sea from your room. It takes just a few minutes' walk to get to Peniscola Castle. It's so wonderful and refreshing to take a stroll and enjoy gentle sea breeze around the castle

Fabulous hotel, just in front of the beach and views to the castle. Great food quality with lot of choices and friendly staff.

This hotel at Peñiscola, Spain by the Mediterranean, is something else. It is not a luxury hotel but is a hotel with a hearth. The amount of delicious food, the sweeming pool and the girls that serve you are amazing

Overall I would say my stay here was pretty comfy. Adults' pool was a great surprise and very nice to have, nice views and relaxed atmosphere

We stayed for 4 nights and found everything to our liking. The room was large & spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, great view over the castle, WiFi good

There was an excellent choice of food in the dining room, we had booked half board & enjoyed every meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful

The cleanless was good and the dinning room serves the classic continental breakfast. The location of the hotel is perfect to visit Peñíscola's old town and its castle and fortifications

Gym equipment needs repairs (multigym weights broken, seat on legpress is broken) and air conditioning would be really good. Water cooler would be nice too but can bring your own

2nd time of coming to this hotel and it lived up to our previous visit. This time we had asuite again but we given the top suite on the fourth floor with a wonderful balcony. Superb views of the beach and castle

Great hotel in a great location. Nice pool good rooms, great AC, nice balcony area, good breakfast, friendly staff, they even gave a bottle of water when we left so we had some water for the road.

The hotel is in a great location, just opposite the beach, and is the best choice for watching the sunrise early in the morning

The hotel is new, the room is clean, there is no refrigerator or kettle, maybe it's cold at the beach. There is an underground parking lot opposite, and it feels like it's okay to park on the roadside

I stayed here with my daughter and we had a great time. The bed was amazing, the room quiet and it always smelled good. The pool is refreshing, breakfast was very good

It's a shame it doesn't have parking and it's a shame there's no kettle to make coffee or tea in the room. The staff is very pleasant and helpful

Close to the beach. Nice swimming pool though crowded when we were there during vacation. We used public transport and the bus stop is at walkable distance.

Low effort family hotel. Decent rooms, edible food. Great for a family member on a budget. Great views of the beach, and rarely of the castle.

The hotel is very good and is ideal for families with children. The beach in that area is not very good, but in general it is very good.

Right across the street fro Playa Norte which was wonderful. Parking was a bit pricey at 20 euros a day where our other hotels throughout Spain were free. We did half board with breakfast and dinner

Great property and very children friendly. The room was clean and had all the supplies we needed. We had an amazing massage and float at the spa and Eva was the most wonderful person and so helpful

You order GLUTEN-FREE food in advance and they bring it to you directly from the kitchen. The hotel rooms are very spacious, good for families. Very good cleaning in all hotel facilities and rooms

Hotel Prado II is located very well, near to castle, bars, restaurants and of course front to beach 🏖. The installations are very new cause the hotel was reformed a year ago

The staff is very pleasant with you and the food are delicious and varied. In relation with the parking you can choose two options, park inside the hotel or park in to underground hotel's parking

The places to park are huge so you are not going to have problem to park a big car. The rooms are good and very new

There are many breakfast options. The sea view room is great. The scenery is beautiful. The facilities are complete, with both a gym and a swimming pool.

So happy to have bumped across this hotel while booking our stay, coz not only is the service impeccable, but the location is perfect! Close to the beach and a couple of minutes walk to the Peniscola Castle which is a tourist attraction spot here! Lots of restaurants nearby, but we are happy we chose to dine at the hotel's restaurant itself! The chef made the best vegetarian pizza for us on request...

The hotel is modern and new and just sea front we had booked room with terrace so we thought that we would have sea view room but there was no sea view, only next building. Apart from this everything was ok

Loved that they stressed on sustainability and reminded to ask for toiletries only if needed and mindfully use water. Overall a memorable stay and extremely helpful staff! 100% recommend!

Great little hotel with fantastic views of the beach and Castillo de Peniscola. Nice little restaurant and bar downstairs with nice lounge chairs to relax. Really loved this place.

WOW! What a gorgeous place! Staff was very friendly and the location is unbeatable. The breakfast was very good, and the food options are plenty. It was great to have access to the sauna and Turkish bath

I was a week with my wife and my son and the truth was that it was a success to have found this place. It is true that the closest beach is a ten minute walk away but it is the best and quietest to be with children

Newly renovated and had a super breakfast and service. The beds were comfortable and one of a very few hotels in Spain with a room safe. Easy walking for families to an entertaining walk to the beach

Hotel had nice boutique feel about it. Two swimming pools. Angela the main receptionist helped us get two day refund as we had to leave early due to family illness. We really appreciated her quick response and help.😎

! Highly recommendable! Biggest room i ever been to! The bedroom was huge!, with a sliding door to rest of the apartment!, wich was a couch in front of the TV, it was a small kitchen, that means a microwave, to stowes!, a kitchen-sink, and then finally a bathroom

The room was very large, comfortable and had everything you need to have a pleasant stay. We also took breakfast, everything is tasty and they have a lot of variety

This hotel has been totally renovated. It is now a modern new classy hotel. Directly across from the beach and less than 1km to the old town we were delighted to find this gem of a hotel for a reasonable price

Directly on the beach ⛱️ The rooms are small but new. The Bathroom has a large and comfortable shower

perhaps a few drawers to store the small things of the day to day would avoid opening suitcases or the closet. Overall it deserves an A grade. It is worth coming back especially outside of the high seasons

Our room with small balcony and a view of the sea was spacious and exceptionally clean; the bed was firm and comfortable, with two pillows each

The breakfast was generous, including hot food (eggs, bacon, potato frittata). There was also traditional Spanish breakfast dish of bread/tostada, tomato and jamon, plus yoghurt, fruit, cereal, pastries etc

The building itself is well maintained, having been built in 1966, and has style you rarely see anymore. The decor and cleanliness was top quality, and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Close to the city centre but far enough to avoid the real mess and noise of that area by night. Best ever reception staff, everybody so nice and kind! The only negative side: the waiters

Really cute place which is right by the beach and a great view of the old town (long walk, but you can get a bike from Freddy's next door. We got a tandem for 2 hours for 8€)

Loved the resort and visited the castle and old town, beach was great with beach beds etc for 15E, sea gently shelves way out. Plenty of bars, restaurants in both directions

What a delight this small hotel turned out to be. Would definitely return if I ever get the opportunity. We had a room overlooking the pool on the second floor, accessed by a small lift

Room was spacious with a large mirrored wardrobe with enough hangars and shelf room for two female guests. Two small twin beds, a bit hard for myself but that's me. Blanket in wardrobe if required

Food: Well what can I say other than we both gained weight! Plenty of choice for breakfast; cereal, yogurts, fruit, pastries, bread, rolls, cheese, omelettes, fried/scrambled eggs, bacon, different hams and I'm sure there was other things

Plenty to choose from; fish, meat, veg, salads, chips, mashed potatoes etc, in addition to speciality nights ie Mexican, Asian, etc and these were great. But the crowning glory of dinner was the desserts

Some of the best I have ever had and I'm very well travelled. Staff were friendly despite us not being able to speak Spanish. Small bar in reception and we had a nice coffee there one day

Amazing food, if you want come to Peñiscola better get prepared to a lot of fullhouses regarding the restaurants around the village, we got lucky when asking in this one since it was the last table at 13h

I barely give any 5 start to a restaurant unless it deserves it and I have to say that Tio Pepe deserves it. The best paella I’ve ever ate it. The costumer service is really good and so are the prices

We arrived at 13h and paid for the full menu, 2 cokes and 2 coffees to closure. The services was amazing, the toilets are very clean, is very family friendly

Parking is a bit of drama as all of the centre of Peniscola is now "zona azul" so you have to keep feeding the meter! Was slightly worried that ,being so central,there would be a lot of street noise late at night

Hotel Hey is a fantastic place where to stay and/or eat if you are in Peñíscola

They are very comfortable and they have a big terrace It is quite far from the beach (3km) (there is a private beach for the customers), but it is easily reachable by foot

I only ate here, one for lunch and the next day for dinner and didn't stay here. There were a few small hiccups but bearing in mind it was the start of the season, they were forgivable and rectified quickly

The highlight for me was the perfectly cooked and seasoned steak

There is also no parking outside the hotel so be prepared to drag your bags a few blocks. We parked in the garage which is a good location. Staff told us that parking was free since we were off season (March)

Very clean and right on the beach so it's so convenient. Food was fantastic too and the staff all smiling which makes a huge difference. I recommend trying the fried prawns in garlic

This is a nice hotel right across from the beach and tons of activities. Although the rooms are small, they are tidy and clean. The television is as small as my laptop, but we never used it anyway

The whole promenade along the sea with its touristy restaurants and crowds was a turnoff for us
