Hotel Prado II in Peniscola

For the love of God, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

I cannot begin to express how disappointed I am with my stay. I’m actually going to file a claim for this reservation due to the lack of care for my daughter’s safety. When we first arrived, everything seemed fine, and we got our room shortly after. However, the air conditioner wasn’t working, and despite multiple calls to the front desk, no one came to fix it. We had to physically go to the front desk to ask for help because the room was getting unbearably hot.

Even after asking again, they never offered us a different room or fixed the air conditioner. Later that evening, I opened the window to get some fresh air because the room was so hot and stuffy. My baby, who sweats a lot, needed relief. This resulted in mosquitoes entering the room and biting my daughter over 30 times. She had mosquito bites all over her body.

When I brought this to their attention, they blamed me for opening the window and suggested that the bites could have been from outside the hotel. I didn’t leave the room at all, so this was clearly their fault. Their response was dismissive and unhelpful. They tried to blame the mosquito problem in Spain, but I’ve been in Spain for a long time and know this is no excuse for their failure to fix the air conditioner, forcing us to open the window.

When I spoke to the manager, he apologized but said there was nothing he could do to compensate or resolve the problem. At the time, I was unsure what to suggest, but seeing how much worse my daughter’s skin has become, I realize they should have refunded my entire stay.

The customer service here is terrible. The place looks much prettier online than it does in person. The interior was nothing like the photos and was quite ugly.

Do not stay here!!!
