Colectia Hotel Santa Lucía in Seville

Very good hotel. Friendly reception. Clean rooms. Nice bathroom and spacious bedroom with a safe in the closet. The breakfast is extensive with very good coffee. The center is a 15-minute walk away with the famous parasol.

In many ways, the hotel is a three star one, but the hospitality and attentiveness of the staff are worth more than 3 stars. You can see it's a 3-star hotel in that for example the room didn't have that many amenities and the soundproofing wasn't the best. On the other hand, the room was comfy and homely, and perhaps some of these "imperfections" only added to the homely feeling. Loved having a bath tub in the room. The location is good for someone who wants to stay in a little bit more quiet area but still a walking distance away from the attractions. Close to bus stops too if you want to take a bus instead. Breakfast was something to be expected from a 3-star hotel, so again nothing super special, but there was enough variation to keep it interesting for many mornings. All in all, really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend! Thank you for the experience.

Glad the helpful receptionist pointed out we had paid twice, once through *******, and once direct to hotel as requested by them in email prior to arrival. This appears a common occurrence, and should be rectified so is not repeated, thanks.

A generally very charming hotel, within walking distance from both the train station and the area around Plaza del Duque. Very good breakfast, close to the local pub, friendly staff, and a fantastic rooftop terrace — perfect if you have some time to sunbathe or simply enjoy the view (note that the pool has been removed, but there is a shower available). As several others have mentioned, there are some issues with noise and the comfort of the beds — things the hotel could probably improve fairly easily. Regarding the noise, one suggestion could be to close the rooftop terrace at 10 PM (though I’m not sure if that’s where the cheerful ladies I was bothered by were sitting :-)). And a simple fix for the beds would be to invest in mattress toppers. What you currently have are just basic box springs where you can feel the coils, but with a topper just a few centimeters thick, I honestly think guests would be much more comfortable. That said, overall, we were satisfied with our stay.
