Worse location for a hotel in a shopping center, not near the city center and taxi service on the city is bad lady in the front desk was very nice, we tried to cancel and no way they would charge the full amount, is better to find a hostel city center
great location and very clean very clean room and great location
The place is nice and clean . The hotel is inside the mall, that is good and safe . No many restaurants around . The area is far from downtown.
Staff is always prone to help, the rooms are nice and clean. Location is great, there's a supermarket and a whole shopping center downstairs.
The hotel is super clean, the rooms are spacious, the staff always pleasant and polite. The breakfast bar always comprises fresh food with enough choice…even for gluten free. The 3 of us heartedly recommend it. For people with walking issues, please be aware that the hotel is located 25mn from Santiago’s cathedral.
Furnishing is slightly out of date, but its clean and very tidy, not worned out at least. Ask for the street view, its much better than the mall view. Housekeeping is top notch, cannot get any better. The reception was great and very friendly, we had bikes stored in their store room and had to collect the keys from them. The hotel is bicycle friendly, expect the shopping mall lifts don't operate...

simple check in from friendly staff, there is also a large and rather lovely seating area on the same level and a nice bar.lifts to all floors.my room was of a good size, clean and tidy with a comfy double bed and a good size bathroom.for location,it took me 15 minutes to walk to the cathedral via parque da alameda which is worth a visit in itself.
Great location; hotel itself a bit old. nice staff though
Perfect place to rest after finishing the Camino. The hotel was cozy and comfortable, and Carlos made my stay truly special. I had some trouble locating a package I sent from Portugal to Santiago, and he helped me with genuine kindness and care. Thanks to him, I even decided to stay one more night. The restaurant he recommended was also great. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to relax...
Handy spot not far from cathedral. Comfortable rooms, breakfast was ok. Good service from front desk. Easy to access from Portuguese Camino
Last stop on our Camino. The hotel was clean, quiet, and easily accessible. A bit far from centre of town so fair bit of walk to get anywhere else. The room we had was spacious. The breakfast hall was big, plenty of choices for food and drinks. Service was excellent too. Just a bit of a struggle when you have luggage and have to walk up towards the train station.
Nice cosy place. Not far from the cathedrals. We enjoyed every bit of the holy place.

good hotel for finishing the Camino del Santiago. A good location for the center of the city and the Cathedral. Rooms were adequate and the staff were super helpful
The hotel is very close to the old town and the cathedral. The room was very charming and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Had a great stay staff were friendly and helpful
Great place to stay The location was great. I enjoyed the stay the staff were friendly and helpful
We had a basement room. Nobody was taken care of breakfast. Not orange juice refill,no tortilla available
A very old stone building very nicely renovated and modernized. Our room had small windows but the stone fireplace and old sink were gorgeous; the A/C worked great. We had the hotel breakfast one morning--it was fine, reasonable cost; but there are plenty of cafés nearby as well. Alda corp evidently runs several similar hotels in Santiago.

Hotel Montes was an incredible experience. I rarely write reviews, and felt compelled to do so given my experience. I visited during a non-holiday in the fall months, so the weather was much cooler. We stayed in a room facing the street and restaurant which provided an incredible view. Hotel staff were extremely friendly too. I am reading the 1-star reviews and laughing to myself as my experience...
Lovely large room overlooking a busy square. The room was one of the larger we have had as we tour northern Spain. Nice washroom with shower, comfy bed, and a modern renovated room. The balcony had french doors that opened to the town square that let the lively street vibe in. A short walk to the Cathedral and all of the old town made this an ideal location for our visit. A bit more pricey than other...
We received a warm and friendly welcome at Hotel Montes. The location couldn’t be better: right in the middle of Santiago’s vibrant old town, just a few steps from the cathedral. Breakfast was fine, the coffee especially good. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Santiago de Compostela!
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I've been to a few places and I'm willing to make compromises between advertising and reality. So when I booked my stay I was ready to make those compromises on arrival at the hotel. I don't know how to express the sheer joy of what I found. From the minute I fronted up to the reception desk I felt at home.  Then I got to my room and I was blown away...
5 stars, very beautiful and pleasant place, the entire surrounding area is of great architectural value, it is well worth visiting and enjoying all the serenity experienced in that place, I had already been there and hope to return. good trip to do with family and friends
The hotel is very centrally located, close to Plaza de Obradoiro and the Cathedral. The receptionist was very friendly. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The hotel in general is very charming. The pillows were too soft for my taste, and they forgot to refill the shower gel. Breakfast was average. Overall, it was good value for money.

Beautiful rustic room, just as described, 5 min away from the cathedral, conveniently close to a multi-storey car park, where you’ll receive a discount. Room is comfortable and quiet, and staff extremely helpful. Excellent value too, so would not hesitate to recommend to anyone travelling to this bustling city.
We loved our stay here! Quiet and cozy with a large bathroom. Steps away from restaurants, laundromat, Alameda park and the cathedral. Manager was helpful when we did not know how to operate the air conditioning.
A very welcoming and accommodating lodging. We were early, they worked to get us in our room earlier. The clerk was so friendly and helpful through our whole 3 night stay. The room was comfortable, clean, pretty and a pleasure to stay in - enjoyed the free coffee and made use of the community room downstairs while waiting for our room.
The location was great but more importantly that although there is not staff at premises, Maria was very responsive to our request for early admit and her assistance on getting around and facilitating our final transport out. It's when you see that people makes the difference in hospitality and Maria it's a great asset to your location.
While we enjoyed our stay, the bathroom was a bit tight and the electrical outlets did not all work properly. Otherwise, the hotel was located in close proximity to many of the sites worth seeing.
This hotel should have a much higher rating!! Stayed here for a few nights when visiting family. Compared to the other hotels, this was much more affordable. I arrived late at night but check in was very easy. Rooms are large and beds very comfortable. Bathroom extremely clean (something I find very important!), while my room had a lovely view into the little centre courtyard. Very central and...

Everything was perfect! We wil come back and will refer to friends.
Excellent location very convenient beautiful and clean. *****
The hotel has a perfect location, near the cathedral. It is very clean, and the receptionist is very nice and warm. The only thing I was on the 1st floor and you hear everything from the lounge that the hotel has, It is very noisy. Also, the internet is not very stable. Other than that I will stay again in that hotel
Overall a good hotel to stay in. Very basic amenities. No save, frigde, microwave, paper cups, tea, nothing. Bed is in smaller size. It has elevator. Location very close to interesting places and St. James Church just go out to the left, voila. There's the main side door

Staff are friendly. Room is clean & quiet.
I experienced EXCEPTIONAL customer service at this location. I never leave reviews, but it didn’t feel right not to in this case. I had quite a few baggage hiccups along the Camino, and so I ended up sending my things ahead in a bag to this hotel. I sent another box through the Correos company (who sent it to the wrong location). The women at the front desk helped me try to track down my things for...
Helt OK. Hjälpsam receptionist
I am sad and a little disappointed. I was a guide with a group of 10 people, and it was my second time in this hotel. And one old lady from my group forgot her glasses case on reception. She tried to take it from reception, and started alarm. Was a sign that asked to don't go to reception, but problem that she speaks just russian and German, not English and Spanish. After in the morning owner of the...
Clean, with everything I needed. VERY nice front desk reception. 7-10 min walk from train and bus station (the end of the street leads to the station) excellent! Would stay again!
It's a very simple and easy going hotel option in Santiago. The room was pretty small and rather dark, with the only window facing the inner shaft, but for the price you can't potentially get better than that. They allowed me check in prior to the official check-in time, and the staff was next level friendly helping me out with advice. Also the location is superb-close to the historical center and...

The staff was polite. The guests were noisy. The cleaning staff were talking loudly at 9 a.m. There were long hairs in the toilet when we arrived. But it was fine for what we paid...
For the price, it’s a very good deal. Great, clean room with great service and bath.
We stayed 2 nights after walking 130 km on the Camino. 20 min walk from the main church. The only complaint was the final morning a speaker in the ceiling was crackling loudly!!! This began at 530am! No one to alert about it. Lucky we left at 715 am. UNACCEPTABLE
Best night I've slept on the Camino. Great breakfast, clean room, and especially kind and capable staff. My room was on the highest floor of the hotel, so there was no noise from the street or the other guests. I would normally not spend this much on a room for myself, but I'm tempted to stay here again before my flight home next week.
Pretty central location and Barry nice staff. Breakfast was good. Parking was... Challenging but expected in this location
A nice, clean and quiet room, and there is a supermarket nearby, recommend!

Great location, close to everything. The window overlooks the courtyard. The electronic door lock is rather inconvenient; it doesn't work right away, so you have to hear the infamous "door is open" sound from the neighboring rooms down the hall.
A small but quite comfortable room at an incredibly low price) A Russian-speaking administrator at the reception.
The hotel is located between the train station and the city center, I couldn't appreciate the breakfast because the train left early, there is a bath in the room, it's ideal to take it after a walk
It's a great hotel with a 24-hour reception. It was clean and the facilities were good. I had to take a taxi at dawn, but they kindly called me and took good care of me. I would like to stay here again next time I go to Santiago.
The service was good, the room was old, the bathroom was old, and the television was very bad.
Price-performance ratio is good and the location is also great Good in itself

Located just outside city centre. The check in was smooth. You pay a city tax at check in. The room was decent and clean. Wifi worked well.
The bed was so squeaky that I had to put the matress on the floor so I could sleep and the noise insulation in doors was also bad as I woke up in morning to the sounds of people walking in the corridor. Rooms were otherwise tidy and in good condition and good quality to price ratio. The staff was very friendly and helpful as I struggled to get a taxi to the airport.
The Loop Inn was amazing. Everyone was so friendly, it was an easy walk from the train station (about 30 min). It was clearly marked, which made it easy to find. The room was lovely, kitchen great, breakfast was nice. I would definitely stay here again.
Excellent breakfast with lots of options! Coffee and juices were plentiful. Lots of pastries and breads. A couple of sliced meats and cheese options.
Cute place, but bed too hard for me. Very clean and good breakfast !
Located about a ten-minute walk from the cathedral, the kitchen is large and well-equipped, allowing multiple people to cook without feeling cramped. The buffet breakfast, while simple, is delicious and offers a distant view of the cathedral. For a private room, it's a good choice.

Nice helpful staff, good location, breakfast buffet available. My only negative experience was that our room had lots of street noise. So if you're a light sleeper, request a room away from the street.
There’s a Taco Bell nearby, huge plus. The location is nice and quiet.
The facilities were new and comfortable.
The hotel is in a very convenient location to the historic downtown. The beds were comfortable, the shower was relaxing (just be careful getting in and out). We did not take advantage of the breakfast, but there is plenty of food nearby. All in all, a very nice stay.

Great location right beside the Cathedral. Room was clean and decent for a night's stay.
The room was wonderful except the shower had mold so a little Clorox would be good . Breakfast was nice with a good assortment of choices .
Didnt take breakfast, the hotel is perfectly located next to the Cathedral, we loved our stay, but we couldn't sleep much because the windows are not really noise cancelling and there was a lot of noise during the night.
The staff service was exceptional. The manager staffing the reception desk was full of helpful positive energy. The hotel is very convenient to the Santiago Cathedral area. Parking is not an easy option with this location.

The location, the little breakfast the cleanliness and the lift all perfect. But it was Superwoman Charo who made our stay memorable, she was receptionist, housekeeper, waitress concierge, cook. Whatever they are paying her, they should double it. She carried out her vast duties with kindness and a smile.
Only one night, perfect location in the old town. Cosy room , very comfortable bed and very friendly staff.
Approachable staff, clean room and excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
Close to the Cathedral and the hotel location is in the old town. Walkable to all the pilgrim program.
The room was very comfortable and was in a good location and near parking which you had to pay for at an additional cost but good price, I would recommend. If you are travelling by car I would advise to park the car first and then go to the hotel because you cannot go infront of the hotel with your car but it is in walking distance.
Located in the city center, breakfast is good, and there is an elevator. However, on weekends, there were people reveling outside the window and I needed to wear earplugs to sleep!
