Moldy rooms, miserable customer service, tv and appliances dont work. Cant really blame them for their loud tenants. Having said that: moldy curtains, moldy shower heads, even a broken moldy bucket for showering. Hot water is piped through moldy linkages. Exposed wiring by bed. In the land of tea we were served overpriced brown water. Best part they dont tell you they charge for bottled water until you take more than one. Paid 8000 in good faith for one night cash, when the room was 7620. We wouldn’t have known unless, we requested an invoice and paid with a credit card. Really assess options before hand. From the photos on the web, the hotel seemed just fine but as I arrived here I immediately regretted booking a room here. It's very dirty, there's no soap, towels or paper in the bathroom. The whole hotel smells like a public toilet. Also the fan works but it makes the room hot. Would not recommend it to anyone! Don't go if you don't wanna have the worst night of your life

We encountered a significant inconvenience today. Despite making a reservation yesterday, we were informed upon arrival that the room had already been booked. This unfortunate experience occurred early in the morning, causing considerable frustration. We strongly advise against relying on their services in the future.

My recent stay at the Victoria Palace Hotel in Wellawatta left much to be desired. I booked a two-day stay as my daughter had an exam in Colombo, but upon arrival, the first impression was disheartening. The room was unclean, with evident signs of neglect. What's worse, none of the air-conditioners were functional, making the room uncomfortably hot and stuffy.

Given the poor conditions, I had no choice but to cancel my booking prematurely. However, I was dismayed to discover that I was still charged for one day, despite the unsatisfactory experience.

Overall, my experience at the Victoria Palace Hotel was far from satisfactory. I cannot recommend it to anyone until they undertake significant improvements in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that basic amenities like air-conditioning are in working order.

Nice place but they are cunning. No proper plug points, heater in the bathroom is swiched off and they maintain a cunning way to avoid the usage of customers. You can experience these things by visiting to this hotel. And please confirm manytimes your booking before you enter, because there may be a chances for no vacant rooms after your visit with booking.
