Stayed for a night after landing in Colombo. Hasini checked us in and was very friendly and welcoming; we were given all the information we would need during our stay. The hotel has a great sea view, facing the Indian Ocean, and there's even a small train passing right by the entrance. During morning rush hour, people were even hanging off the train doors! This is my fourth time at Granbell, and every visit has been satisfying. The ocean-view rooms and the infinity sunset pool are fantastic. The environment is clean and hygienic. Excellent hotel, needed a place to stay before our flight. It's close to the airport, and the main advantage for us was the tennis court. We thought it was included in the price, but it turned out to be extra. We weren't bothered by that. Nice clean pool, beautiful grounds.

Great hotel, except for location. A little too far from city and markets, but a great tuk-tuk ride was exciting. Staff friendly and helpful.  The Fishery Grill and Bar has sensational food.
