Boutique Hotel Glacier in Grindelwald

Our stay at the Glacier Boutique Hotel in Grindelwald was truly unforgettable. We stayed in the Signature Room, which was spacious, modern, and perfectly clean. The highlight was definitely the private jacuzzi on the terrace — enjoying the warm water with such an incredible mountain view was an experience we’ll never forget.

The hotel has two restaurants, and both exceeded our expectations. One is a fine dining restaurant with exceptional dishes, beautiful presentations, and top-quality service. The other offers a more relaxed atmosphere with a stunning view that makes every meal special.

The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Grindelwald — a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and breathtaking scenery.

I need to start by stating that this was a nice experience. And the hotel is great. But to truly have a 5star stay I need to state that they should improve some details that distinguish amazing hotels from the really nice ones. And this one falls in the later.

There were moments when we realised the neighbours are loud and when we stumbled upon the hotel’s staff in the elevator one too many times.

This being said, it was a nice experience and the dinner was amazing!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Glacier Boutique Hotel, and the Honeymoon Suite made it truly unforgettable.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The suite itself was stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains that you never get tired of waking up to. It felt private, peaceful, and perfectly suited for a romantic escape.

The attention to detail throughout the hotel is excellent, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between luxury and alpine charm. Staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.

Location-wise, it’s ideal—quiet and scenic, yet still very convenient for exploring Grindelwald and the surrounding areas.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Glacier Boutique Hotel, especially the Honeymoon Suite, to couples looking for something truly special. We’ll definitely be back.

We have enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights with a beautiful view and experience through its location and decoration.
Also, we've tried the restaurant for a dinner once and it was fantastic, however, one drawback is the limited choices in breakfast menu that needs to be taken care of. Otherwise, you will love the stay and vibes here.
Highly recommended and will visit it again.

The view of Eiger mountain from our balcony was stunning! Modern room but keep boutique style hotel. In my opinion, it’s better to book through the Hotel official website. Just one small thing, the deposit amount was very high hope to reconsider about it. Many thanks to all staff they were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Definitely we will come back one day!

Hotel Glacier exceeded my expectations! This is a fantastic hotel, restaurant and spa. Room was great. Make sure you get breakfast…the best I have had anywhere in Europe. We always do a wine tasting in whatever region we travel to. The hotel hosted a private wine tasting for us and it was amazing to experience the local wines. Responsibly priced and Well worth every penny. I cannot say enough great things about the staff. Every team member was spectacular and I only wish I could have a team like that working for me. View from hotel was unbelievable…Thank you for making our first trip to Grindelwald so special! Spectacular!!!!

From the moment we parked in the car park we knew this place was special. We stayed at Boutique Hotel Glacier for 5 nights in the first week of October 2022 (03/10/2022 to 08/10/2022) and loved every second of it. We had a suite on the top floor which was simply perfect - We were there to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was simply amazing.

The hotel itself is perfectly situated with a short uphill walk to the main centre of Grindelwald, with the main train station on the left and the market town on the right.

We were greeted by a lovely receptionist who informed us our room was not ready however we left our luggage in the car and became acquainted with bar and restaurant area. About 30 minutes later we were advised our room was ready and we were checked in and given a very detailed explanation on the hotel's features, after hours entry and general layout.

The room was perfect in every way, every member of staff we had the pleasure of speaking to was fantastic. The hotel staff are multilingual and able to deal with people from all areas of the globe.

We used the spa, the breakfast which was included had so much variety. Drinks/restaurant were all second to none. Having breakfast on the balcony with the Eiger mountain to your left is unreal and even now when we look at our photo's it looks photoshopped and fake. The hotel's location is just perfect.

Exceeded all expectations and one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in to date! The view from our room was spectacular, the location to gondolas/railway was perfect, and the staff were so kind and accommodating. The little touches like the complimentary breakfast (one of the best I’ve had) complimentary spa time, cookies at departure, free parking and discount passes for the railways were lovely.

Definitely do yourself a favor and book this hotel for your adventure. Make sure you reserve a night for the Restaurant Glacier, it’s a fabulous experience!

The hotel was excellent and service was great. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit and different smoothies every day. The rooms were cozy, modern and comfortable. Excellent mountain views from the balcony. We also had the 7 course tasting menu which was great (start early as it takes a long time). I was expecting the spa pool to be slightly bigger but it was romantic with great views. The room service didn’t have a huge selection and could be improved to include more comfort options. In general, expensive but worth the experience.
