This was my favorite hotel during my trip to Switzerland! The snow-capped mountains right outside the window were stunning, and breakfast with a view of the Alps was incredible. The breakfast spread was really rich, and I especially loved the croissants. Plus, the entrance to First mountain is conveniently located right across from the hotel.

The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the front desk service is excellent. They even helped with parking. A truly memorable hotel! It's incredibly close to Grindelwald train station, literally just 5 meters away. When I first arrived, I even walked around the outside, but you can actually walk straight there from the other platform.

While our plans changed due to injury just before heading on vacation, we definitely made the most of our Grindelwald trip and were thrilled with the resort's services and location. I booked this hotel for my child, and they told me the restaurant was excellent, with delicious Italian food. The room itself was quite small and the facilities were a bit outdated, but the balcony was very spacious with a great view, which was a major highlight.

Overall, it was quite good. Hotels in Switzerland are generally old, but very well-maintained. This was especially true in Grindelwald, though the room was a little small. Everything else was great, and the pool was fantastic.

This hotel has been diligently run by four generations of the same family. The female owner is incredibly attentive to Chinese tourists, which is a big plus! The hotel's location right next to the train station is simply perfect.

We panicked because there was no refrigerator in the room, as my husband needed to store his medication for a chronic illness in the refrigerator. We immediately called the tour conductor, but couldn't get through at all. We later found out that the tour conductor's room didn't have a phone. The hotel was located in the middle of the hill, just like many of the hotels in Grindelwald. There was free bus in the area so it was easy getting up and down. Yet, the bus service stops at around 6 or 7pm, and you will have to walk up the hill from the train station for about 20 minutes. Also, potentially because it was in the middle of the mountain or it was winter, it felt very dry in the middle...

Basic but clean hotel on the heights of Grindelwald (the center is a 12-minute walk or a 5-minute bus ride that stops next to the hotel). A super pretty little log cabin. The terrace opens onto a lawn where cows roam. Public transportation here stops running very early, but thankfully it's only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station, so it's convenient to come back at night.
