Absolutely excellent! I could not fault this place.
Fantastic service. Great wine. And the food was unbelievable!

I ordered the ‘menu du jour’ but it was such a delight, I would happily try anything on their menu.

Starter:
Salad sauce was like grandma makes - I almost asked for a bowl of it! The bread was fresh and tasty. The crust just hard enough, and the middle spongy and light. A sprinkling of seeds made this delightful.

Main:
Vol au vent with chicken & mushroom on a bed of lettuce. This was truly incredible - delicate herbs running through a rich and perfectly cooked puff pastry. Thinly sliced mushrooms and tender chicken pieces. The rice was cooked to perfection and just enough to give the sauce a nice bed. The creamy sauce was packed with favour - all balanced harmoniously.

Dessert:

Carpaccio of pineapple and pina colada sorbet - sweet without being sickly. Light yet filling. Flavoursome yet refreshing. Served with a sprinkling of alpine petals (and a candle! 🎂🥰)

I recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone. It is not only amazing, but entirely affordable! The menu du jour (starter and main) is only CHF20.-

We had lunch there yesterday and it was excellent! A new cook, new staff and renovated restaurant. The bistro style food was delicious and varried. I am looking forward to seeing their winter menu as they change with the seasons. For those who like the “entrecôte” they have their own styled one with the butter sauce and excellent fries.

Staying in a nearby Chalet but arrived late from the airport famished. Only ones in the dining room but they were happy to accommodate us. The menu had plenty of choice, although I did think it was quite expensive, probably partly to do with the strength of the swiss franc at the moment. However had the Escalope de Veau and it was delicious. Came back on our last night for veal again, this time in a creamy mushroom sauce served with Rosti, again delicious and finished off with a Zabaglione which I Don't think I could have had for at least 20 years. The staff were very polite and accommodating. I definitely recommend.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday and it was such a nice (re)discovery. The new management (Chef Buri) and his team have done an incredible job with the menu. I ate a burger which was delicious. The homemade salad sauce was noteworthy (grandma’s recipe) and the chocolate mousse and crumble dessert really really good (and so easy to eat even if you are full, it’s not overwhelming).
Definitely recommend eating here :)

Best view in town to watch the cows coming down the street. Hotel is quaint & charming
