Further than described. Not a convenient location. Manager was not a welcoming man. Only thing good about this hotel was the free breakfast. Please save your money and book somewhere else.

Rooms are clean, breakfast included was good value, staff are friendly and helpful. Location is 5 min walk to the bus stop that would take you to the main station. I would stay here again if I come back to Bern.

The Waldhorn staff were friendly and knowledgeable, helping make the most of each day. The free coffee and apples were great. Easy (and beautiful) walking distance to swim entry points for the Aare as well as the old town. Great meals at the Lebanese restaurant up the block, and the Kornhauskellar over the bridge.

The hotel is undergoing a full renovation so services are limited, but very good. Our room was redone elegantly and had a lovely design. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Very clean & convenient
Very clean hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good quality continental breakfast (the same for all days but that really wasn’t a problem). About a three minute walk from the Victoriaplatz tram stop but it’s only a 20 minute walk into the centre of Bern if you’re feeling energetic. Get the tram back though as it’s uphill !! Alternately it’s a ten minute walk to the Rosengarten for that perfect view of Bern. The room was immaculate but could be a little bigger - but what do you expect from a capital city centre hotel? If you’re looking for a slightly cheaper alternative to being right in the centre then this is throughly recommended.

A three-star hotel in a major city. The standard room wasn't large, nothing special, and the decor... well, it was comfortable enough, and there was no unpleasant odor in the room. The breakfast was acceptable, better than a three-star hotel in the mountains, but in Switzerland, well, for Chinese people, it was just passable. It's conveniently located two public transport stops away from the city center clock tower across the bridge. You can reserve a paid parking space by confirming with the hotel in advance via email; it costs about 16 Swiss francs per day (I can't remember exactly).

The service was very good.

The hotel is further away from the mountain station (all on foot). But the room has a balcony and you can see the Matterhorn. Great.
