Am Pavillon, Bed&Kitchen in Berne

Police report being filed against this scared swiss mouse👨🏻‍🦳🇨🇭 I will chase this scammer who committed FRAUD until Wise, VISA & MasterCard invoke his account. I found Am Pavillon B&B as the TOP listed accommodation on *********** , charged me today on 7 February 2026 (credit card, MANUAL ENTRY) for a room I had reserved and paid for on 1 June 2025. This is 8 months later! The owner apparently saved my credit card number and tried to charge it on the pin terminal manually typing my credit card number twice. I have proof of MANUAL ENTRY in the PIN terminal, 8 months after I had made a booking and paid the same amount he tried to charge my card again. This was done to try to mask the amount being charged. I have screenshots from my Wise account in my mobile app and notifications with timestamps. He first tried to charge 135 CHF to pretend he was charging the same room price, and then immediately tried to charge 30 CHF to see if there was any money on the credit card. (ps. I only use this card for this exact reason, If I’m on my holiday, I never use the same card I use at home. So, after my holiday, there is no money on it and I don’t use it). I tried to call the Bed & Breakfast multiple times within one hour after I received the notifications from my credit card app. The number goes directly to an answering machine saying that the number is not active. I searched everywhere, but that is the only number they list on every booking confirmation, website, etc. I did not even stay at this place. I was too late to cancel, and the full price was already charged to my card on 1 June 2025 (see screenshot). So, I was being nice, for fck sake, and did not even ask for compensation. I just informed *********** that I was not coming, but that it had already been paid in full weeks earlier. We were in Switzerland with a large group of riders 🏍️.🏍️.🏍️. Everybody is pissed and supportive. They are now planning to make a visit meet the scammer face to face, since he is hiding like a little swiss mouse. Be a man little homie, you're a big boy in the DM's to other Asians who shared their screenshots. Anyways be safe, happy hunting these scammers Ciao! Ciao! Ciao!

Am Pavillon may be the worst B and B experience I have ever had. Between the musty, ancient towels, the old and perhaps not the cleanest sheets and the ****** and deceptive owner - visitors to Bern should stay far away from Am Pavillon. The house overlooks the main Bern train tracks but this isn't mentioned in any of their advertising. It was hot when we were there in June but if the windows were open, there was constant train noise. And there was no AC or fan, so with the windows closed the room was overwhelming stuffy. The towels and sheet were gross and were so ragged that they clearly haven't been replaced in years. But the worst part was dealing with the owner. He told us he refuses to rent to certain ethnic groups and just tells them that his B and B is full. This admission was shocking. We booked for 2 nights but he charged us for a third. While our plans did change, it was clear that we had only stayed two nights and still he charged us for three and refused to refund the money he charged my credit card without permission. He became abusive over email with me when I requested a refund for the night we were charged but did not stay. Stay away from Am Pavillon B and B. Yes, it is less expensive than other places in Bern but it's not worth the savings.

Clean rooms, great location for early or late night trains but next to the tracks so on a warm night (or if you want air) you feel as if you’re sleeping on the tracks themselves. The owner was not around but became incredibly rude and downright abusive when I wrote a truthful review after my stay. He also tried to charge my credit card fraudulently claiming that we have to pay Anita check out fee, although the check out time or any fees involved were in ever stated in the contact/booking information. Oh and do not leave any less than stellar reviews or you will suffer “consequences”. Cannot recommend at all

I booked for 3 nights early December 2021. I was supposed to travel from South Africa, however with the new covid variant, all international flights were cancelled as my whole trip. I do understand the cancellation fee were not refundable in normal circumstances, however this is an exceptional situation, putting many people in difficult financially situation. I have cancelled my booking, therefore freed the room however the Pavillon was not at all willing to discuss any possible refund sadly. Mentioning this for future guest to be careful. (other reviewers have been writing having issues on similar topic and a rude Manager!!)

They insult their customers! You were ignoring my message, that's why I left a bad review. You haven't answered on my message in 1 week but when you got a bad review on Booking you answered in less than one hour with insulting message, what a great service! If you read another reviews you will notice that the owner is just a rude person
