The first night the shower in our room was too hot that we couldn't take the shower. It was fixed only on the 2nd day. Breakfast spread is rather limited and charges extra for omelette which are normally included in most breakfast packages. However, they do have hard boiled eggs in their breakfast package. Location is about a 10 - 15 minute walk from Interlaken Ost if you're carrying luggage. However there.is a station drop off service offered by the hotel free of charge.

The hotel is centrally located in Interlaken. Interlaken Ost train station is about an 8-minute walk away, and a bus stop is just about 100 meters away. This is very convenient for excursions in the region.
Room
The room was beautifully decorated in an appealing Baroque style, making it cozy and elegant. We also received a nice upgrade to a room with a balcony, which made our stay more pleasant. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a drawback: the silicone joints in the shower showed mold. This is unacceptable in a 4-star hotel.
Staff / Reception
At check-in, Pierre truly impressed us: he was very friendly, professional, courteous, and service-oriented. The rest of the staff was generally attentive and friendly but sometimes seemed a bit unsure and not always entirely competent. Language skills were an issue: German is only spoken to a limited extent, and Swiss German not at all, which sometimes complicated communication.
Breakfast
The breakfast, unfortunately, was very disappointing and did not match the quality expected of a 4-star hotel.
• There was no declaration or allergen labeling for the food.
• The products offered seemed cheap and stale: scrambled eggs from a carton, hard pretzels from the day before, and pastries and bread that were consistently low-quality frozen goods.
On the positive side, the reception actively asked for our feedback after breakfast. After our honest comments, something was brought to our room as an apology. Unfortunately, this included some already moldy berries, which negated the good gesture.
Overall Impression
Despite the beautiful central location, the generally very nice room with a balcony upgrade, and especially Pierre's outstanding service, our stay was overall disappointing. The mold in the shower joints and the low-quality breakfast left a negative impression. For the price and star category, we would have expected significantly more cleanliness and quality. Therefore, we would not recommend this hotel.

We booked a shuttle from Interlaken OST to the hotel for our check-in day, October 28, 2025. However, the shuttle apparently left without waiting for us. We ended up waiting at the designated cold spot for 15 minutes, which was incredibly frustrating!
We arrived at the hotel after 4 PM. We had booked two rooms, but the reception informed us that they weren't cleaned yet. We had to wait about 20 minutes for the key to one room, and then another 20 minutes for the second. The service was absolutely terrible!
The breakfast selection was very limited, and the food tasted awful. Only the bread was edible, and even the tea was bad. The quality was simply unacceptable!

Everything is good except when check out there is only 1 staff working. I would like to suggest during peak hour arrange more staff for handing check in & check out. I almost miss my train to Montreux.

The balcony view from the first-floor room wasn't great, it looked like a vegetable patch, and there were a lot of moths. However, the room itself was spacious, with a bathtub and a walk-in closet, and the mattress and pillows were comfortable.
