Hotel Metropole Interlaken in Interlaken

We had an amazing stay here. The hotel stands as the highest building in Interlaken so the view you wake up to is breathtaking. Rooms are clean, service is quick and excellent, And the value for your money is very apparent. By far the thing that stood out the most is the staff. Truly the nicest people we’ve met in Switzerland. They always serve with a smile on their faces and never hesitated to help with any request we had no matter how ridiculous. Tima specifically was the star of the show. Every morning she greeted us with a smile on her face when we went to the breakfast. She was always helpful and in my friend group of 6 people, we never agree on anything, but when Tima came along, we all agreed that she was the best. So Tima,if you’re reading this, Thank you!

The room was great, directly facing the big strawberry field where the paragliders land. It had a balcony with a lovely view, and the value for money was excellent. I was really impressed and highly recommend it!

The views were incredible! We could see Jungfraujoch right from our balcony, and there were even paragliders in the sky – truly unbeatable scenery. The hotel provided free public transport cards, which were super convenient for getting to both sides of the lake by bus. The bus stop was just a two-minute walk from the hotel, and right there, you'll find a chocolate shop with amazing chocolate ice cream.

Old tall hotel but a great location in centre short walk from either train station room being updated at the moment so a bit noisy between 9 till 5 breakfast was good and varied had a meal in both restaurants both good the rooftop restaurant had great views.Hotel does seem out of place here being a Highrise building but does have the views.

The location of this property is exceptional—perfectly situated in the heart of town and an easy 15-minute walk from the train station, with shops and restaurants right at your doorstep. We stayed on the top floor, and the panoramic views from the balcony were truly the highlight of the trip.
However, for a premium rate of nearly €400 per night, the experience fell short in terms of basic amenities and security. The room lacked a kettle, coffee machine, or even a complimentary bottle of water, which are standard expectations at this price point. Furthermore, the hotel’s administrative processes feel outdated; I was uncomfortable being asked to provide credit card details for staff to record manually on paper. This is a significant security concern in a digital age.
A wonderful location, but the service and room features need to be modernized to justify the luxury pricing.

Everything is perfect! Stunning View and Good Service

First the good things: super friendly staff at the reception and restaurant. Breakfasts were satisfying as well as the location right in the center, nice view from the balcony.
Now the bad: The hotel doesn’t looks great from the outside, it’s a tall old building which doesn’t fit the beautiful scenery of Interlaken. There was also a renovation happening so it’s been extremely loud from 9 to 5. The rooms are rather small and basic. The building is old so definitely good that some renovations are done but doesn’t help in having a relaxing stay.
Overall, it was okay.
