The hotel was great for what it was. Much cheaper than other options, still close to the train station, and right next to a shopping center and 24-hour convenience store. My only complaint is that in the description of the hotel, it claims access to laundry facilities. There are no such facilities that are accessible by customers. The hotel offers a laundry SERVICE, but does not offer facilities. There’s a rather large difference there, especially in terms of the total cost.

Very bad location just above the Mc Donald. Noisy very late at night and moreover it was impossible to close the window. It is like all the nightlife of Winterthur takes place next to a hamburger. The standart of the room is the one of a low level Ibis budget (something between an hospital room and a prison cell + you feel it becomes old)The person at the reception was really nice. Anyway, i could think to come back here (only for the price, not for the pleasure, let's not exaggerate), but only when this fast food downstairs will have disappeared 😊

I don't know why ******* gave me this hotel as an option in Zurich area as it takes about 25 min to get there from Zurich by train and 10 min by bus, which costs about €60 for 3 people. The area around the hotel is really nice and quiet, but the best thing is staff at the hotel. Two very nice young ladies answered questions about my trip in details, and also made some accomodations for me because the first room didn't work for us. There's always somebody at the front desk, and they are so kind and helpful. The nearest supermarket is a 10 min walk, and the train station is 15. Not many good options for restaurants unless you go towards the train station.

Very small room... not enough storage space... but great location and friendly, uncomplicated service.

The hotel is quite small. Two suitcases can no longer be unfolded. It is OK for a short stay. It is not recommended for permanent stay. The people are quite mixed. There are many Indians and Pakistanis living here.

Clean and reasonable price, but a bit far from the train station. If you have large luggage you need to walk a long way to to hotel. Over all the hotel feel free and safe. The bed and toilet is clean no smell.

Let me remind you, this is a "budget" hotel

Just right in front of this hotel, there is a McD.
Staffs were friendly and speak good English. Free wifi with decent speed. Hot and cold shower running properly.

Prepare for small room, toilet, and shower. The toilet and shower room are without lock. The shower door is glass with blind enough to cover your body but the handle is hollow and at stomach level. Toilet door also have hollow handle.

AC is working properly.

No amenity provided. No phone. No hairdryer. No water boiler event from receptionist.

Again it's budget.

Hotel Ibis Budget Winterthur is a great option if you're planning to stay in Zurich. It has service in English, which is good for travellers, and also does not make too many compromises for a budget hotel. The location is a little out of the city, which is good for traffic, and the rooms are quite clean and modern. Additionally, reception service is available 24/7. I personally recommend staying here if you just need a place to sleep for the night, but not if you're expecting a 5 star experience.

Positive experience. Basic, clean and small room. Friendly staff. Parking and breakfast not expensive. WiFi excellent. Few minutes walking from city center.
