Hotel Zugertor in Zug

Personal absolutely friendly with family and kids. Were super flexible and gentle Every time we needed. Very clean. Restaurant right downstairs! Perfect!

About a 30-minute drive to Lucerne city center — not very close, but acceptable. The price is only slightly cheaper than in Lucerne center. Rooms are very clean, with bottled sparkling water refreshed daily. The biggest plus compared to Lucerne hotels is the air conditioning, which is a huge advantage in summer.

Breakfast is varied and tasty. The male receptionist was friendly and welcoming, even recommending local spots popular with Swiss people rather than just tourist sites.

Parking is available, but at €16 per day it’s bit expensive, and if you stay multiple nights, it can become a considerable extra cost.

Great rooms and great service, they go above and beyond to take care of you. Highly recommended

I've been returning to Zugertor for the past four years, and it truly feels like a home away from home. This charming and very clean B&B has a cozy, homely atmosphere that takes away the dreaded "just another hotel" feeling. The team is warm, felxible, and wonderfully attentive, always remembering guests and their needs. I also love Lokal97 downstairs, a down-to-earth restaurant serving delicious local selections. Always happy to come back.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for business trip and was absolutely happy with room, breakfast and the staff were so helpful and kind❤️ especially lovely ladies at reception!

The is a very nice, clean hotel in the middle of Zug. The Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The Restaurant in the hotel was excellent with great food presentation, and great staff....!!! I will definitely stay there again.

The hotel was absolutely exceptional. The staff was extremely helpful and truly excellent. The beds were very comfortable, and the pillows were great too. This is by far the best three-star hotel we've ever stayed at. The staff is always ready to help you with anything you need. During your stay, you receive a city pass that includes free access to public transportation, a boat ride on the lake, a cable car ride up the mountain, and more — all at no extra cost. Simply outstanding.

Charming, small hotel with friendly and helpful staff. A clean and comfortable base for exploring the area. We found the personal service and pared back but stylish decor to be just what we were looking for in Zug. The room was very adequate in size, with a small en-suite, powerful shower and hairdryer. Eco options for room cleaning were very on point. Air con (much needed while we were there) is powerful yet quiet. Lovely continental breakfast every day, and a super restaurant which i will review separately. The hotel is not on the lake, but there is a bus stop very close and regular buses available…. Or a 15 minute walk! Zug is a very relaxing, laid back place and the lake swimming is fabulous. Thank you Hotel Zugator for an amazing stay!!
