Hotel Albrici in Poschiavo

This historic building is located at the cobblestone courtyard surrounded with the hotels and restaurants. It’s a 5 min walk from the train station. The room was crisp clean spacious with a welcoming walnut tart (very delicious) on each pillow. The bathroom is small but well designed with white marble floors and walls. I loved staying in this hotel and walk from the entrance to my room surrounded with paintings and antique furniture. The breakfast was served elegantly with fresh bread, croissants, and fresh jams. Do not leave the hotel without trying their restaurant, I had the best chicken fillet with wild rice.

We only used the restaurant, but it was an excellent experience, both for the food, the location, and the kindness of the staff. Definitely recommended.

Lovely, historic building in an attractive Alpine small town. Well worth a halt for a couple of nights on a longer journey. Comfortable, good sized room of great character with a modern bathroom. We enjoyed dinner in their dining room. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. No lift so the stairs to the bedrooms would be difficult for those with limited mobility. Would happily stay here again to do some walking based on Poschiavo. Also as a gateway to the wonderful train journey over to St Moritz.

12 of us on a rail tour came here without a reservation on a busy Sunday lunchtime with only a short time til our next train We were warmly welcomed by the most polite charming staff who found us a big table to seat us all in a nice room upstairs. We were all served with a delicious pasta meal and wine within our narrow time frame. I would not hesitate to highly recommend the Hotel Albrici from our experience

On Poschiavo’s main square, this beautiful old historic building is the perfect place to overnight. Their rooms have an old style feel to them yet recently they have all been updated with absolutely modern albeit cosy bathrooms. And the building is just a gem to wander around with the Sybille room as the absolute highlight. Their restaurant is an easy choice for dinner and certainly does not disappoint with the local specialties such as the tasty but super heavy pizokels, probably best eaten for an early dinner or rather lunch. The pistacchio creme brulee was absolutely amazing. The staff also deserves a special mention, Valentina from the reception went out of her way to ensure everything happened in accordance with the guests’ wishes and Chiara in the bar was just an absolute smiling delight.

Great location in quaint Poschiavo. Good hiking close by -- easy to picture Heidi living in these mountains. Very good breakfast. The town seems full of good restaurants. lPleasant and helpful staff. All in all a very nice stay.

This boutique hotel was built in 1856, has most of the original character but with modern ensuite bathrooms installed in the spacious rooms. It is located within easy walking distance (with luggage) from the Poschiavo train station and right on the lovely town square. Our welcome was warm and friendly. We were given a quick tour of the historical hotel and shown to our room. We thought the comment "you will be sleeping in a museum" was funny, but that's exactly what it was. We loved it. The one downside however, is, if you are a light sleeper, two of the three towers very close by chime every hour. There is no aircon and the bedding is wunter weight and too warm. We loved the experience, besides the fact neither slept at all well. It is a charming village with great restaurants. On Wednesdays during Summer there is a lively market in the square. TIP: if you are catching the Bernina Express to Tirano, don't stop off in Tirano, stay overnight in Poschiavo and transit Tirano to complete your trip.

This is a lovely hotel in a pretty Alpine village. Nice big rooms and the best staff - I don't think Silvia ever goes home, she is always there to help with anything and everything! A wonderful location, right in the town square.
