The stay was very nice and the reception was very helpful in helping us figure out transportation options, key events taking place and overall catering. One particular staff member that stood out was Youssef, the bartender in the hotel, who was always there to help and went out of his way whether it was through acts of kindness, or simply a smile. He really contributed to the overall satisfaction of my stay. The rooms were consistent cleaned and the food is great.

The hotel is alright, clean good location and friendly staff. But 2 things I'm a bit disapointed is that I asked them if they can do something for my points, I stayed here from the 29th of December until January 2nd, and I was just missing +- 600 points to get Gold, so the hotel reception staff promised me ok we will give you your points for the first 3 nights in 2025, so you will have the Gold Status. Unfortunately they havent done this, I got my points for the 4 nights only today ( January 6th ) so on January 1st I had 0 points and well I'm still just "Silver" in 2026, so yes that is honestly very disapointig, and I'm kinda not happy. We also changed rooms after 2 nights, room 504 was alright and kinda big, but well if your neighbors went to the toilet, you could hear them urinate and well also hear the sound you do while well uhm N°2 . After two nights , we were so annoyed that we asked for a room change, and we got a new room and even an upgrade which was nice, and now the room was quiet, so the "old" rooms are quite noicy. Would I book the hotel, I guess yes, I am just very unhappy about that they promise that they will credit my first 3 nights in 2025 so I would go Gold, and that has not happened, and yes that annoys me really a lot!

I visited the hotel several times with friends and enjoyed the food and services in the bar provided by the best bartender/ Yousef. He proposed me to take the Salmon dish (Le saumon) made by the chef/ Hassan.
It was very delicious . I will next time to the hotel to enjoy the dish again.

Such a shame for Mövenpick!
The hotel located on such a nice lake view but they don't really work on the rest.
The lake view room offers nice view, however the room itself is very dusty and quite too warm.
I did call receptionist about the temperature and she promised the staff will come but never! On a call, I even asked her for the approximately time to wait then she said "I don't know, I am alone here. I need to wait for my colleague to come." This must be a joke!
Bathtub is also way too small for western size. It looks more like tub for kids with some molds on the wall.
The check-in was also nightmare. The service was slow and the way they managed, just ridiculous! The lobby was way too packed and loud because they worked too slow. I wouldn't imagine this is 4 stars hotel. The service here maximum I would give is 2-3 stars.
Breakfast was not too bad but nothing special. Salt and pepper won't be setup on table but by requested. The table weren't be cleaned properly after used.
There was a gift from hotel for the anniversary and as a tourist, the transportation's ticket in area has provided. Besides that not much meet my expectations for Mövenpick Lausanne.
I have more expectation from the brand and Swiss hospitality. Maybe it's too much to ask?

I truly appreciated the kindness and helpful attitude of the front desk and restaurant staff, they were friendly, professional, and made my stay pleasant.
However, the experience with the billing and accounting department has been extremely disappointing. I was charged CHF 498 on my credit card, while the hotel’s invoice clearly shows CHF 474 for 3 days of breakfast (4 people). Despite multiple polite emails requesting clarification, I have received no proper explanation until now.
This situation raises serious doubts about the transparency and integrity of the hotel’s accounting practices. Until the discrepancy is fully clarified and resolved, this review will remain public and will be updated with any further developments.

The day after I left my one-star review, I finally received a detailed reply by email and here on Google. I’m glad I eventually got a clear explanation, but it’s unfortunate that it happened after I made this review public. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The facilities were great, but what really made my experience special was the staff. I want to give a special mention to Natthaphong from Thailand, who was extremely kind, attentive, and professional throughout my stay. He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable, and his warm hospitality left a lasting impression. Thank you, Natthaphong, for making my trip memorable!
